Positive: I don't usually book such high-end hotels but I am glad I treated myself to a one-night stay here. Optional valet service and help with luggage was available. The staff, especially in the restaurant, were lovely and really invested in trying to cater to my allergies. The food was so good that I ate way more for breakfast than I usually do. The room and bed were really big and the bathroom was very nice as well, with a separate shower and bathtub. I especially liked the bird paintings in the room. I didn't have much of a view but despite the windows facing the parking lot, I had a green hedge all around and it felt very private. There was an evening room service and the option to order breakfast to the room. The pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room were lovely and could be used even without staying over night at the hotel. The whole estate is beautiful and the buildings were impressive and well-kept. Bikes can be rented for free and there are other activities available, such as golf and horse-back riding. The high room price won't fit everyone's budget, but you can certainly get your money's worth if you use all the facilities and spend a full day there, and the restaurant prices were very reasonable. I wish I could've afforded to stay longer :)
Negative: In general, I would have appreciated a more flexible cancellation policy, for a bit less planning worry. As for the stay itself, the matress was a bit too soft for me, but that is personal preference. Some bits in the pool could be updated (ladder, vents) but other than that I have no comments :)

Positive: Beautiful estate and beautiful large room. The hotel was beautifully renovated. Lovely staff throughout including a charming chap who told us more about the history of the house in the bar.
