Positive: The hotel has a great location, with hummingbirds frequently coming right up close. The hosts were very friendly and helpful — they offered late-night airport transfers at a fair price and even provided free rides to nearby Yerette.

Positive: Asha and Haresh were perfect hosts, they couldn't have done any more for us. So helpful, kind and truly cared about making our experience in Trinidad & Tobago a great one, not only at their place but on our onward journey. The views were gorgeous and so many beautiful birds chirping around the terrace. A wonderful start to our trip, thank you.

Positive: Absolutely lovely people! Like coming home to an aunt/uncle while travelling. Very helpful with local POI's, cuisine, history and more concerning Trinidad Tobago. For the breakfast in this Bed & Breakfast, I was driven down a little ways to the local town, to be treated with what locals consider breakfast, Doubles. Cant say I've had anything like it before noon, loved it! Not to mention the stunning mansion in the hills, which they build themselves. The numerous hummingbirds you can observe from touching distance on the balcony was an absolute treat. Definitely a highlight in my travels!
Negative: Can't think of anything really. Maybe your own transport, but I'm sure a lift from a local busstation or something wouldn't be a problem.

Positive: The property was magnificent, beautifully nestled amongst the mountains. I woke up in the mornings to the birds' chirping. Super clean and well-maintained. Truly safe and quaint. The property also possesses some beautiful, artistic furniture pieces. Breakfast was delicious. Haresh prepared the traditional Caribbean dish Bodi for me, which was an excellent match with bread and omelet. I enjoyed having it while taking in the breathtaking mountain view. I truly appreciate the warmth, care, kindness, and attention of the hosts. Haresh and Asha are an amazing pair. I'm grateful for everything.

Positive: The Mountain Palace is located in a beautiful mountainous area allowing for a spectacular view. The surrounding garden was landscaped in such a way to attract polinating birds and insects allowing for a unique close to nature experience. Haresh Ramrattan is an excellent host and most knowledgeable on all matters related to Trinidad’s geography, ecosystem, culture and more. Offering suggestions wherever appropriate to maximize the enjoyment of my stay. The breakfasts served during my week’s stay reflected the Trinidad cuisine, where I was never served the same meal twice.
Negative: The memories of my stay at the Mountain Palace still resonate and will for a long while. Although all rooms are equiped with airconditioners, I am a person who prefers to sleep without an AC. Due to heavy rainfall during my stay mosquitos became a slight inconvenience; the availability of mosquito repellent and a fan would have eased this inconvenience somewhat.
Summary: Splendidly relaxing stay that I would recommend to friends and fellow travellers

Positive: The breakfast showcased the culture of Trinidad and Tobago as it was different every day. It was balanced showcasing the different food groups. We had fruits, vegetables, staples and protein. The views from the property were breathtaking.
Negative: We enjoyed all aspects of our stay and did not have any complaints.
Summary: It was relaxing and enjoyable.

Positive: We were given a warm welcome to Trinidad and had an unforgettable experience! The property has a lovely terrace with incredible, panoramic views of the valley and rainforest and an abundance of birds in the garden! The hosts were extremely attentive and offered lots of information about local treats and activities, such as the waterfall trail. As an extra special treat, the breakfast involved a trip to the town to pick up some hot and tasty doubles!
Negative: The location of the property made it tricky to get around independently without a rental car. We decided against getting a car for our trip but luckily our hosts accommodated our needs and organised trips and taxis.
