The Bunkhouse Lodge is a luxurious retreat for couples and families alike. With its eclectic mix of all things 'cowboy', this lodge is like no other accommodations in Medicine Park! From the ample wrap-around veranda you can see Mt. Scott rising nearly 2,500 ft off the prairie floor. The drive to the top of this piece of granite is one of the best scenic views in all of Oklahoma.
Behind Mt. Scott, you will find America's first wildlife preserve named the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge. Bicycles, kayaks, motorcycles, and hiking await your discovery on sixty-four thousand acres. You are sure to be impressed with the scenic vistas and historic sites. There are rock formations larger than a small city in this place. You could start the day with a fly rod and a largemouth bass, hike to a natural bridge by noon and end the day with a steak at the Old Plantation restaurant in Medicine Park. If you like watersports we have the famed, granite bottom, blue water Lake Lawtonka, just at the foot of the mountains. You would have to drive eight hours west to see anything like this. The Bunkhouse was located on an unnamed road, but not anymore. It is now on 'Bunkhouse Road' with an official Comanche County street sign as verification. Just behind us are three blue-eyed Gypsy Vanner horses that make their him on two adjacent pastures of the Windsong Ranch and directly behind them are a herd of alpaca. Eclectic would describe this lodging but it reflects the multi facets of Southwest Oklahoma on a year round basis. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do! Summary: We stayed with a small Girl Scout Troop. The girls loved the theme and had a great time running around outside. We had everything we needed and truly enjoyed our stay.

Summary: This is a great home. We stayed for Thanksgiving to visit our son at Fort Sill. The home was very comfortable, well appointed for Thanksgiving, and well described by the owner. Having the horses next door was a huge bonus! We’ll be back.

Summary: Really enjoyed our stay at The Bunkhouse! We were in town for our son’s graduation from Basic Training. The house was great for Family Day when we were able to bring him back with us for Family Day. Comfortable spaces inside and out. It was nice to be out in a country setting sitting out on the wrap around porch with nice views. Only about 10 minutes from Fort Sill. All worked out great! We’d stay there again!

Summary: We had the most amazing time at the Bunkhouse. The views were amazing. The neighborhood animals were the highlight of the kids week. Our host was attentive and extremely accommodating. We loved every minute of our stay. I highly recommend!

Summary: We were three generations in the area visiting family. The Bunkhouse was right in the middle and where we wanted to be. LOVED the location. Quiet, except when artillery practice was happening…not long at all. Views were amazing and yellow flowers in bloom. My 15 year old was ready to move in! Brennan responded quickly to any communications. Overall, we would stay again!

Summary: The Bunkhouse was easy to find, and everything was clean, well stocked and easy to use. We loved sitting on the wrap around porch with our coffee in the morning and in the evening watching the kids chasing fireflies. There is lots of space indoors, tv had everything that we looked for. The management was really quick answering all of my questions. The only negative was that our stay was so short. Our adult children have texted us to say they wish they were still there, and the grandkids (9-11) had a ball. The beds were comfy, air conditioner ran very well, and the WiFi never caused a problem. We would go back in a heartbeat.
