Summary: From the moment I stepped out of the car I was impressed. The clerk made the check in process go smoothly and quickly while being helpful and cheerful. The room was amazing!! Clean, beautiful 1904 room with all the modern day necessities. We stayed in room 408 (king suite). So much charm. I enjoyed every minute we were here. The pictures will help you see what I experienced.

Summary: Place is really cool. Elevator has to be operated by employee. This is where crew of 1923 series stayed.

Summary: Lovely historic hotel and room. Full of character and has a very large comfy bed. Helpful staff. The elevator is antique so has to be operated by staff. Only downside is there is no breakfast facility until 11am when the adjoining bar restaurant opens.

Summary: Enjoyed our stay . It was fun to experience some history . Not our usual choice but totally worth it. Hotel was quiet at least on 4th floor. Heard the train but it wasn’t too loud but made it feel xtra authentic to the history of town.

Summary: Overall: A++ the room was incredibly clean and comfortable. Took you back to the times of a quaint old hotel, felt like you were back in those times but updated with modern amenities. To speak of amenities, it had all those things you could forget. I was very impressed with the room. The bed was very comfortable, extremely clean, and so was the couch. Staff Positive: The evening staff was incredibly helpful, inviting and ready to answer any questions before we had them. Staff Negative: The morning staff was opposite - more of a let's get it done and move on. A few things to be aware of (outside their control mostly): - Noise! As it is across from the trains, it can be loud at night. - Rooms are quite "thin" walled, you can hear everything around you in the other rooms. - Above each room door there is a window that at night let's in all the hallway light - so if you need blacked out room, no go.
