Positive: Very comfortable and private. Comfortable bedding and mattress, and cosy living area complete with stove (which we didn't use, but I imagine being very appreciated in winter months!). Fantastic location walking distance to the town and to the coast, beach, and golf course. The big plus for us was that we could bring our dog, with an enclosed outdoor area for her and amenities inside for her too. The host also gave us great recommendations for food in the local area and we were delighted to find that at least one of the restaurants was dog-friendly indoors (Doherty's). For the (rare) times we were indoors (which happens - it's Ireland, it rains!), there were good smart TV amenities and kitchen facilities and we were able to chill out and relax.
Negative: Nothing overly worth mentioning! If you are more likely to be indoors, we found the TV to be a bit too far from the living area for its size and we couldn't really see it properly (it's wire is also very short - not many opportunities to move it closer). No big deal - we went up to the aforementioned dog-friendly restaurant Doherty's which was showing the footy anyway. There was shower gel provided, but not shampoo or conditioner - just remember to bring your own and there's no problems. I'm stretching to find things to fill out this section honestly, it's got all you need.
Summary: Dog-friendly and super cosy - a fantastic base from which to explore the area!
