Honey Harbour is said to be the gateway to Muskoka, a small town in the Township of Georgian Bay.
Situated on the eastern shores of the Georgian Bay, the Township covers 992 square kilometers of breathtaking landscapes and pristine waters. The village communities of Port Severn, Honey Harbour and MacTier are nestled within large areas of publicly owned lands, forests and parks. The area is rich in natural capital – diverse parks and nature reserves, the Georgian Bay 30,000 Islands region, Georgian Bay Islands National Park, Six Mile Lake Provincial Park, and the Trent Severn Waterway National Historic Site, navigation Lock 45 at Port Severn.
Steeped in history, our cultural roots are an important backbone of the community. Archaeological records reveal an Aboriginal presence in the southern regions of the Canadian Shield dating from 11,000 years ago. The Trent-Severn River is one of these important sites located in the Township and has been designated as a Canadian Heritage Waterway. From this River, the Port Severn Locks, dams, waterfalls, a 1910 swing bridge and the historic Victorian Gothic Bressette House (circa 1888) can be viewed.
The famous Group of Seven artists often took inspiration from Georgian Bay’s wild, bare shoreline and windswept islands.
We are on the main strip of Honey Harbour and all the amenities that are offered are a short walk from our cottage, including a small beach, public docks.
There is plenty of parking at our place on site for 4 cars
We are across the street from the park with play structure, ice rink in winter months and basketball court

Summary: This is a lovely getaway with great hosts who work hard to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Our only problem was that being our first time staying in muskoka in the winter we were not prepared for everything being closed. It is a pretty location and I'm sure in the summer there are more options.

Summary: We stayed at the Stephen's cottage just recently. It's a nice place with everything you need for a relaxing stay for a few days. The cottage was clean and neatly prepared when we arrived, with all electronics working properly. Pictures match the reality accurately. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Just note that in winter there is not much to do in the area.

Summary: This was the perfect location for us. We had family in the area who are accessible only by water, so it was an easy location for them to pick us up from. It was also close to the town amenities. The property was spacious, clean and well equipped. The hosts were great to work with and quick to respond to our inquiries.

Summary: We are 3 girlfriends on a hiking getaway who very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful holiday home. The home is clean, bright, spacious and charmingly decorated. The bed, bedding and towels were comfortable, fresh and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped. The hot tub was a great bonus after a long day hiking. The location is very convenient (close to the village amenities, the harbour, public beach and Georgian Bay Islands Park kiosk) yet it was quiet and boasts spacious decks and front porch for lounging and enjoying the gardens. It was a pleasure dealing with the owners and staying at their lovely property.

Summary: We wanted to get away together with our grown children. This place had a great living space where 8 adults could all be together but not on top of each other. The check in was simple but the alarm system seemed to falter and interrupted our stay on several occasions. The property owner was easy to contact and quick to reply. We were assured us that this has never happened before...but it was a nuisance. The location is good for boating but not so good for swimming. The hottub was nice though only fit 4 or 5 of us at one time (we are all tall). The general store, only a few steps away, is amazing and carries a wide variety of everything...including vegan ice creams. The property was very clean and well stocked with coffee, salt pepper, etc. We very much enjoyed our stay overall.
