Positive: They serve both dinner and breakfast at the hotel which is useful as they are no options around. The staff was very kind and helpful and brought us hot water bottles to warm our beds. Pangong Tso is worth visiting, even if it feels a bit more like an adventure than comfort.

Negative: This is not on them but just to be aware that there is no warm water and heating is sparse so bring warm clothes! But this is common around Pangong Tso so just something to take into account. The food is not great but again to be expected given the remoteness. They use a mini wood fired heater in the room but also burn petrol to get it going which can leave a strong smell in the room.

Summary: Pangong Tso is beautiful!

Positive: Great location right by the lake with beautiful views, and the food was really good.

Negative: The heater in the room released quite a bit of smoke, which made the stay uncomfortable.

Positive: Excellent staff, very warm, responsive and customer friendly. Excellent location....very close to Pangong lake and with super Lake views Well maintained and clean, Good facilities to keep the room warm- local bukhari heating system, additional blankets and hot water bags; great food with variety of options

Negative: Somehow, we still felt a bit uncomfortable in the night for a few hours....mainly because of extreme cold and perhaps altitude acclimatization issues. Would have liked if the insulation against the cold can be enhanced to make it more comfortable against the cold.

Positive: Clean and tidy upon arrival, and offered fantastic views of Pangong. Dinner/Breakfast was tasty, and the staff ensured you are well taken care of. During the colder months they provide a heat boost for your room, ensuring you’re toasty and warm before hoping into bed, and through the night.

Negative: SIM cards struggled to pick up a signal at the lake, but it wasn’t a surprise given how remote the area is (great for those looking to disconnect).

Summary: Enjoyable, comfortable, and warm night, at Pangong Lake.
