Negative: Toilet didn’t flush properly Lighting in stairwell was poor, needed to use mobile torch Washing machine was extremely loud on spin cycle Bed was a bit hard for our liking

Positive: The apartment is exactly as presented in the pictures except that the dining room table is now across from the couch and not in the corner of the room. The kitchen is small but functional, we appreciated the good, heavy pots for cooking. Silverware and dinnerware are plentiful although a larger chopping knife would be nice. The apartment is on the 4th floor (as noted in the facilities, there is no elevator) so it receives a lot of sunlight. It also feels more spacious than the pictures indicate. The bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space and the shower has sufficient water pressure. Communication with the host is easy (& in English) and he responds quickly. As he does not live nearby, his mother will meet you at the apartment. The apartment is located in the northern part of town so it is a bit of a walk to the fortress but we thought it was conveniently located near many sites and the large NM supermarket (is labeled a convenience store on g**gle maps). It's in the newest of the buildings just off the road.
Negative: We were placed in the smaller bedroom and found the bed too hard. We switched the sheet and duvet hoping to have more cushioning. We had tried the other bed but were unsure if it was better. When we mentioned this to the host, he confirmed it has a softer mattress. As someone else mentioned, the bathroom has a sewer smell. It's unpleasant but I wouldn't call it extreme. We could smell it in the bedroom with the bathroom door open but with it shut. I recommend including pictures of the building/entrance in an arrival message. The address is block 3 which took us a minute to realize meant the third entrance. To us, block 3 would be a separate unit. I'd also make the apt number clearer, we counted apartments and assumed we had the correct one - it wasn't until we locked the door that we noticed the number written in pen beside the door frame.
