Positive: The location is simply magnificent - all the bedrooms were comfortable and it was really great to have the jacuzzi and watch the sunset over the distant mountains. The lodge is very close to Katoomba and Blue Mountains attractions, but we felt were miles away from everyone deep in the mountains. Wonderful view - with wallabies visiting at dusk. Amenities were very good. Our family had a fantastic week.
Negative: There is hardly anything to dislike. Only comment is the stove is a bit old - the oven took a while to work out.
Summary: Fantastic holiday in one of Australia's iconic locations.

Positive: This property gives magnificent, uninterrupted views of the surrounding escarpment and valleys from the living area and enormous balcony. Its three bedrooms with ensuites make it ideally suited for up to three couples plus perhaps a few children. There seems to be everything you could want in the way of appliances, kitchen equipment, games, and books. Overall, very clean and comfortable.
Negative: Check-in is not to 4pm, but the hosts kindly managed to have the property ready a little after 2pm.The furniture and building itself are starting to look a little tired and worn and in need of brightening up. The cost was made up of accommodation charge, plus booking fee ($100), plus $100pd cleaning fee, plus a stripe transaction fee (2.9%) on all items including the bond. A single accommodation fee would have felt friendlier. There is a steep drive and steps to and within the property if guests have any mobility issues.
Summary: Delightful Blue Mountains stay for three couples. Views to die for.

Positive: what a great house. slept 12 people so comfortably with plenty of room for everyone and lots of room to lounge around. Fantastic views that you could just sit and enjoy. The kitchen was very well equipped with all appliances to enable you to cook a wonderful experience

Positive: We provided our own tucker. We expected this as it enabled us to meet our nourishment and refreshment needs. This was not a negative thing as the location had all the features of a private home i.e a jacuzzi and sauna bath. 4 Bedrooms had ensuite facilities there was also a bedroom with two bunk beds.
Negative: Two of the party were over 75 and they did not like the fact there was no handrail in the stairwell. The provision of a handrail would have been an improvement for the safety of all occupants. All ages can slip or loose their balance. The property was excellent except for this feature.
Summary: Glorious sunset on Day One - the weather was not ideal for the rest of our stay - we still liked it.

Negative: The layout of the shared bathrooms with adjoining ensuites made it awkward logistically. The place was quite eclectic. It was very expensive for what you got. The bins were full upon arrival.

Negative: The spa didn't function properly. Coffee making equipment was not up-to-date. Property is pretty expensive for what is being offered (understanding that we were there during tourist high season/high price).
