3 Bedroom House in Weirwood, Exmore

All bedrooms, living room and dining room have expansive views of Nassawadox Creek. Stroll down to the private dock for an evening drink, to fish or go crabbing. Take out one of our 2 kayaks to explore the creek and bay. When you return from exploring, jump into the newly renovated pool and sun on the deck. Note it is an unheated pool. If you need to warm up, there is a fire pit facing the water; it's a lovely place to be at sunset. There are stacks of wood on the property and guests are free to use the wood for the fire pit.
We have left a crab pot on the dock for guest use. There is a large crab cooking pot and crab and oyster utensils. There is also a gas grill.
It has a master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Two bedrooms and a shared bathroom with shower tub are on the second floor. There is a half bath for guests on the first floor. This house is our family vacation home and is in a rural, quiet area. No parties are permitted.
The living room can seat 8 with 2 recliners and 2 sofas (3 seaters), one with a chaise. For rainy days, there is a Roku TV, scrabble, poker, puzzles, monopoly and Uno.
Cape Charles is a 40 minute drive. Wachapreague is 30 minutes. Chatham Vineyards is 25 minutes. Take day trips up to Chincoteague or Kiptopeke Park and retreat back to a quiet sanctuary. The nearest grocery store is 15 minutes away in Exmore, Virginia.

Summary: Our family of two adults, one teen, one 12 year old and our dog had a great time at this property. We fished from the dock, kayaked and used our paddle board. We also enjoyed Monopoly on a rainy afternoon and playing games in the front yard. Thank you for a great time!

Summary: Two words can really sum this place up well, Natural Seclusion. The home has an expansive yard with an awesome dock to walk out on for a change of scenery. A little corner of the water cuts around the home so you have your own little personal nature scene to enjoy throughout your stay from the dining room windows or the pool. We never got to enjoy the water out on the kayaks due to an elbow injury I have, but they looked great. The maintenance guy (Ben) next door was very nice and introduced himself as we arrived offering to share anything given a drive into town is about 10 miles. The yard was great for taking our dog on walks. The newer pool and deck were great even with a direct walkout from the home. It provided a great way to stay cool during the days and enjoy the incredible starry skies at night. There was some wasp activity around the wood fencing around the pool where I was unfortunately stung after our dog escalated things our first day, but we didn’t have any other incidents and given this home is way out in the middle of nature this is expected as this is their home too. We really enjoyed going down to the dock on the bayside water in the mornings and evenings to enjoy the peace and quiet and the crabs. The area of the whole Delmarva peninsula provides excellent day hiking to view the sea or bay sides along with some cute little fishing towns to enjoy. If you are looking to get away, this place is for you!!

Summary: Family had a great time - kids swam, fished, kayaked, learnt to trap and prepare crab...they loved it! The view's rather beautiful, and it's downright quiet. We barely stayed indoors during the day! Thanks for sharing!

Summary: Perfect spot for my little family and 2 dogs to get away from the city. Owners and property manager were very generous with supplying the things you’d need for a comfy and fun stay. We borrowed their crab pots and caught 8 crab for dinner :) our dog (the outdoorsy one) lived his best country life

Summary: The property was as described in the listing. It was peaceful, relaxing and secluded. We traveled with our three teenage kids and dogs. The kids absolutely loved the pool and our dogs were immediately relaxed. We were able to catch blue crabs off of the dock, no luck in fishing but that was probably more us then the area. Would absolutely return to the rental. It was an amazing break from a hectic life. Thank you for sharing your place with us.
