2 Bedroom Cottage in Afton Station

This cottage is only a 100 feet from a stunning private beach that has no public access. There are acres of sand and very few people in the area.
The Space:
Our property is surrounded by 24 acres of beautiful lawn that is right on the ocean. Your front door is less then one minutes walk to the beach.
We provide extra bath towels, extra linens for a mid-week change (if requested). Lawn chairs to take to the beach, as well as large beach towels.
We provide coffee, tea and condiments. We have a full kitchen including all the dishes, pots and silverware. Kayaks are available (at your own risk) and there are large closets in each bedroom with hangers.
Guest Access:
You have access to the entire cottage, deck and grounds.
Other Things To Note:
Guests are welcome to invite friends (max of 4 at a time), however due to our use of a well we cannot accommodate more then six people staying or using the facilities. High chair for small child is available upon request.

Summary: When we arrived, Andrea was there to greet us. Very quiet place with a private beach. Enjoyed making a camp fire during the evening. Lake where you can do kayaking. Would recommend with no problem.

Summary: We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage on this beautiful waterfront property. The host was on site and available at any time, but the cottage is set far enough away from the main house and the RV units for complete privacy. We loved exploring the beach and the sunsets were awesome. We would definitely recommend the property to our friends.

Summary: John and Andrea were perfect hosts. We knew they would be available if we needed them and not intrusive at all. The cottage has a PERFECT cozy feel with everything you need for a vacation stay! We loved walking along the ocean shore and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Communication was quick and the cottage was quiet and perfect to shut down to relax (no WIFI but can connect to your own network if necessary). We can't wait to go back!

Summary: We stayed 4 nights in the 2 bedroom cottage on the property that is shared with 5 RVs (which belong to friends of the owners) The owners’ home is onsite and they were ready to provide anything we might need, but at the same time they gave us all the privacy we wanted. The cottage rental includes its own firepit, propane BBQ, picnic table, deck chairs, beach chairs and use of a pedal boat and kayaks and even a playground set for small children. The beach is about 150 ft away across a grass lawn from the cottage door. The kayaks and pedal boat (& lifejackets) provided are ideal for the pond in front of the cottage. We spotted a bald eagle, beaver dams and a Great Blue Heron. The well-stocked kitchen includes nearly-new small appliances: kettle, coffeemaker, toaster, microwave and all the dishes and cookware we needed. Now, about the beach: a crescent of powdery sand, only 4 other houses we could see and in mid-September it was surprising if we saw another person on it! Sandbars made wading into the crystal clear water easy. This cottage retreat is an understated gem. Highly recommend!

Summary: I had a wonderful vacation at Nautical Retreat. The hosts, Andrea and Johnny were very easy going and kind. The cottage was quaint comfortable and private. The beach was fabulous with calm clear water and a sand bar that went out a long way. It was so relaxing.

Summary: We absolutely loved this place, it was a sweet reminder of how beautiful our little province can be and that there are many hidden treasures all threw Nova Scotia, this is definitely one of those spots. The property, grounds and beach were beautiful, you can tell the owner's take alot of pride in making this place so special. The water was calm, the beach was very sandy and clean. If you enjoy walking along the water, it's got lots of beach to explore. The cottage is adorable, very clean and taken well care of. The views are breathe taking, I could honestly go on forever about it, I just fell right in love with everything about this place. The owner's were so sweet, very friendly & kind, you really can tell this place is special to them. What they've create here is a truly gorgeous place & we are so honored that we got to experience their precious little gem.

Summary: We arrived and were immediately greeted by Andrea who showed us to our cottage. It was quaint and clean and had everything we needed for our 3 day visit with my granddaughter. The beach was just as described. We had an enjoyable afternoon on the beach. The entire property is beautiful. Our hosts Andrea and Johnny were lovely and kind people. I would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again.
