Summary: Quiet and cozy. Clean, up to date interior. The bed is extremely comfortable. This is obviously a secondary structure on the property which has been renovated into a cottage. This is more of an in-law suite airbnb situation rather than a vacation rental. Take note: THIS COTTAGE IS IN SOMEONE'S BACK YARD, and you can see directly into the primary house's windows. That was unexpected and discomforting. These photos are deceptive as to how much privacy there is, as well as the roominess of the interior. Photos have been taken with a wide angle lens, which manipulates the perspective. You can hear the interstate from the yard. This may be an issue for some people. The owners left food in the fridge, and clothes in the bedroom closet, which made us feel like we were staying in someone's home. Weird for us, maybe not for everyone. These are things that I wish we had known going into our stay, which is why I'm sharing it in the review for others to read. Over all, we had a great time, it was quiet and comfortable, and it was just enough room for the two of us.

Summary: The property allowed my family of four with 2 wheelchairs to stay comfortably in a small and quaint setting as we traveled in the area. For those with disabilities this place you can make it work, but does take much extra effort. The home was cozy and peaceful and the property provides you the ability to have a simple, low maintenance stay. If you like simple you will love this place like we did. It beats staying in a hotel for this type of get away. The home was fairly clean, but very comfortable. It sits on a wooded lot and is in a great scenic and well maintained neighborhood. Easy access to highways, the harbor, many places to eat and shop. If you like simple, you will like this place. We would stay again.

Summary: Upon arrival, we were expected to keep our shoes outside in a basket where they would get damp, rained on, etc. The cottage had a dehumidifier running in the middle of the living room which made the place very warm. There was an unpleasant, musty odor in the cottage. There was no air conditioning (except a window unit in the main bedroom), and this made for a very warm and humid stay. We found someone else's trash was left in the trash can under the kitchen sink. There were food items left in the refrigerator/freezer with a note that said we could eat them. No, thanks. The twin beds had new mattresses and the plastic wrap was left on them. This was very noisy while trying to sleep. The description said one car could park in the garage, but there was no garage. I would not stay here again.

Summary: This was a great surprise; while minutes from the highway on a seemingly busy road, the cottage was actually a secluded getaway, convenient to everything and yet hidden away in the woods. The host exceeded expectations: she was helpful, responsive, and provided more than we're used to getting in such rentals (wine, staples, etc.). We'll definitely be back. Thanks.
