Summary: This was our second visit to the Villa Cardano and once again, we were not disappointed. We were a group of 9 artists (plus 3 family members) from Perth, Western Australia attending an International Watercolour Exhibition hosted by the Italian Watercolour Society in the lovely, quiet town of Maccagno - which is also an artist's paradise. We occupied all 3 apartments which are spacious, comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The gardens of the Villa Cardano are delightful and perfect for meals on balmy summer evenings and the spacious, traditional cellar was always a cool alternative for evening gatherings. The Villa is well placed being near to all the amenities and the ferry which takes you to many different towns and villages along the lake - as well as into Switzerland. Zita, Roberto and Guilio were the perfect hosts, seeing to our every need and always going the extra mile, which made our two week visit even more memorable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Villa Cardano and if we are ever back in Maccagno we wouldn't hesitate to stay there.
