Positive: A beautiful small-scale hotel with only four rooms, designed with great attention to detail. We received a warm welcome, the room was stunning, and the location is excellent — just a short walk to Wat Arun. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise: although we expected a simple continental option, we were served fresh croissants, juice, fruit, yogurt and a delicious coconut dessert, far beyond expectations. We also appreciated being able to leave our luggage after checkout before our late flight.

Positive: Before you even step inside the main building, you take off your shoes a small gesture that instantly slows you down and sets the tone for what’s to come. It all begins with the hostess, calm, interesting, and more than warm. She greets you with a refreshing drink and local treats, but also with genuine curiosity about you. She doesn’t just check you in, she wants to help you create your own perfect Bangkok story, suggesting places, booking tours with a wonderful driver and making sure every detail is right. The all-female staff (from what we saw) carried our luggage to our beautiful room, a space full of details that transport you to old Thailand. The 100+ year-old building has been fully renewed, yet its history lingers in every corner. Waiting for us inside? Peeled snake fruits, ready to enjoy. In the morning, you cross a peaceful garden to reach breakfast by the river, longtail boats gliding past as you eat food that tastes every bit as amazing as the view looks. We were on a hotel-hopping plan and had to leave early, but we seriously considered cancelling the next stop just to stay here one more night. When departure time came, the staff was already outside our room, ready to help with the luggage once again. Every moment here feels thoughtful, personal, and full of quiet charm. Neil Niwas isn’t just a place to stay it’s a place to remember.
Negative: We loved everything. Would come back to Bangkok just to stay here again! The sense of serenity and happiness it offers cannot be put to words!

Positive: This incredible home has been painstakingly restored with passion and love. If you appreciate architecture and the preservation of it you'll be right at home here. It is a haven away from the hustle and bustle and our host could not have been more welcoming, accommodating and helpful. The staff were equally attentive and the food was delicious.

Positive: We stayed 5 nights at this amazing secret escape in the middle of Bangkok. The day we arrived we were welcomed by our host, who explained to us the whole history of the house over a nice cold welcome drink and afternoon treats. I will not comment on everything that has been said in the previous reviews, which are all relevant and true. However, I would like to mention the service and kindness from the host and her dedicated team, which is very hard to see nowadays. I have trave a lot around the world with different experiences in hotels, and I can say the difference between the Neil Niwas experience and other big resort hotels is that you’re not a number; you’re a proper guest with all the attention from the host and team. The attention to detail in the setup of your room, the décor, the daily new treat in your room: tropical fruits, local sweet and cold juices. As for the breakfast, we choose everyday the Thai breakfast which was simply fantastic and trust me you do not need a lunch after! A big thank you Neil Niwas for making our stay unforgettable! Merci Beaucoup

Positive: I was drawn to this hotel because of its stunning architecture. Despite being located in the city, Neil Niwas offers a serene atmosphere that makes you forget you’re in the bustling heart of Bangkok. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast by the river. The serene setting combined with a delicious meal made for a perfect start to each day. Additionally, the owner of the hotel could not have been kinder. There were plenty of plugs in the room, which is a small but significant convenience. Every aspect of the hotel is thoughtfully designed to enhance the guest experience, making it a truly unique place to stay.
Negative: The only downside to our visit was that we only stayed for one night. I wish we had stayed longer to fully enjoy everything the hotel and the surrounding area had to offer.
