Positive: We stayed here for 2 nights on our trip through Sri Lanka. The cabin is lovely, everything you need is present, and the views are wonderful. The host is very helpful and friendly (better to use WhatsApp for communication as she uses translator in this way), and helped us with arranging taxi to next location and tuktuk to and from the center at better price. The breakfast is a great start of the day as well! Highly recommend staying here
Negative: The location is a little bit outside of the center (5-10 min by tuktuk), but the views and rest you have here definitely make up for that. I definitely recommend staying here instead of in the busy center close to the sightings.

Positive: Beautiful views across the valley from the balcony on the outskirts of town. Beds were comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. Madam is very friendly and super quick to respond on WhatsApp which also helps with any language problems.
Negative: I really don’t want to write anything negative but the upstairs room (two beds) had such a serious mould problem, it would be problematic for anyone who has sensitivities /allergies. This room is spotlessly clean, but there must be some sort of water seepage causing invisible mould. Such a shame for a newly built home that is kept very clean. Note, the downstairs room (one bed) doesn’t have any problems. Also concur that the path to the property is an absolute goat-track and if a Tuktuk is not available, guests could be very challenged.
Summary: Beautiful valley views but beware mould problems.

Positive: The breakfsst was delicious and plenty. It had warm, cold and gluten free options as well as fresh fruits. And it had a different choice every morning.

Positive: Beautiful stay at the cottage. My kids loved going up and down the hill on the tuk tuk. Clean beds, great breakfast and she even helped do our washing. Communication is done via whatsapp because her English isn't so well but that worked well. Anytime we needed a tuk tuk home from ella town, she was able to organise it
Negative: It is out of town on the hill so not everyone would like that especially if you forget something like we did and it would have been an effort to go back up the hill with our driver and then the tuk tuk again. However its so peaceful and calm up there and we found the hill tuk tuk rides fun

Positive: “Exceptionally attentive and helpful hosts. The accommodation is spacious and clean, with huge beds and a beautiful view. Breakfast is very generous and delicious. It’s a bit far from the town, and the road leading up to the guesthouse is difficult to access, but the hosts transported us every time with their own tuk-tuk. Highly recommended!”
Negative: The distance from the town center is considerable, but the view and the kindness of the hosts make up for everything.

Positive: The host was excellent to take care of every detail of our trip from pre-arrival to post-arrival by staying in touch. We arrived after dark and she had made sure the tuk tuk was waiting for us at the train station. Freshly made Breakfast spread was the best we had in our entire trip! The rooms were well equipped and beds were very very comfortable. Location was secluded and we loved the view accompanied by birdsongs.
Summary: Peaceful, super comfortable and best breakfast with such attentive host
