Casa Chiara is a beautiful new 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa. 4th Bedroom has a double sofa bed, however, we welcome small groups of a maximum of 6 travellers. However, may consider up to 8 guests with an added premium. Additional guests will be charged pro rata. The villa is beautifully appointed throughout with a fabulous kitchen and open plan dining and lounge area.
Most of the side and front facing windows take in fantastic views of the ‘Costa Degli Dei’ or coast of the Gods. In addition, from the villa’s large roof top solarium, the villa boasts fabulous panoramic uninterrupted views over the sea taking in the magnificent volcanic island of Stromboli and the group of Aeolian Islands that can be seen on clear days in the distance. Breath-taking views of the sunset are a highlight of every evening.

The villa is part of a small ongoing development of a small group of 8 detached and semi-detached villas. Casa Chiara is situated high up on the estate and can be seen immediately on the approach road. The family builders who own the Residence Dei Fiori are very respectful of the villa owners and the residents and keep everywhere as tidy as possible.
Casa Chiara villa is nestled within beautiful green hills, far away from the main Tropea road. It’s idyllic, quiet and peaceful location and stunning views of the sea, allow time for reflection and relaxation. Situated within a mile of the authentic Italian village of “Zambroni”, the villa is 10-minutes’ drive from the romantic town of Tropea and 20-minutes from historic Pizzo; the home of the famous, delicious Tartufo ice cream.

The villa is laid to lawn (highest quality artificial grass) with two small olive trees either side of a pretty rose & cream coloured-stone back garden patio with large front driveway to match. Well stocked borders.
Rooftop Solarium
Substantial double-sided rooftop solarium with rose-coloured terracotta tiles with multiple planters filled with Jasmine and other plants. (See below for garden furniture.)
Casa Chiara has plenty of high quality all-new garden furniture which can be used flexibly either in the garden or on the solarium roof, including:
• 6 sun loungers
• Stand-alone hammock
• Coffee seating area and coffee table
• 4 sundowner highchairs for evening cocktails
• 8-seater garden dining table
• 4 super-large sun canopies
Residence pool
There is a beautiful pool available for use by people staying at the villa and is situated directly above the villa a few steps away. See photos and video. The pool has powerful jacuzzi jets, and an overhead neck massage waterfall, and is positioned on the residence with a panoramic view across the sea towards Stromboli and the sunset. The pool is never very busy and often you may enjoy the facility for yourself. Please note, the communal pool is unheated and so is only open for guest use during the months of June - September (subject to covid restrictions).
The villa has a washing machine available in the utility room next to the kitchen.
If you would like an extra clean or linen and towel change during your stay, this is available at an extra charge.
There is unlimited wifi usage at the villa.
A baby cot and high chair are available on request, at an additional cost of €30 per week.
It is a health and safety requirement that names and ages of all guests are provided prior to check-in.

Summary: We (family of 2 adults, 3 children) spent wonderful days in Zambrone. The villa is perfectly as described - just the surround view over the bay of Tropea and the Stromboli is simply better than any description. The villa, the garden and the pool are super clean. The well sorted kitchen, individual aircon in every room and the very nice garden area with various seating possibilities all contribute to wonderful and relaxing holidays. The 10 houses are a „gated community“, the villa itself features another gate - everything is super safe and calm. Beautiful beaches, restaurants in Zambrone, Tropea and Pizzo are all within a short drive. Special thanks to Alberto for the perfect local service! Clear recommendation from out side for Villa Chiara - thanks for wonderful 2 weeks!

Summary: Janice is a gracious & perfect host. Her villa is exceptional! Truly a piece of heaven on earth! The listing is just as presented- only the pictures can not come close to capture the views - they are breathtaking! The villa is beautifully decorated with every convenience thought of. Janice even had weights for a quick workout if you desired. The villa was exceptionally clean & comfortable. The pool is beautiful & just steps away! Zambrone is a beautiful southern Italian town with warm welcoming residents, a cafe, restaurants & beaches! The beaches are truly paradise - as an avid traveler the beaches in Zambrone are the best we have ever been to. Janice's restaurants recommendations were superb! I can not say enough of our time in this villa in Zambrone! I am grateful for our time in Zambrone - thank you so much Janice - the memories we have made will live in our hearts for a lifetime!

Summary: It’s a gorgeous property with plenty of room and beautiful views. Beds were comfortable. It has everything that you need. For an American it took a little while to get used to how to operate some of the appliances. But after figuring it out everything went well. Unfortunately we had very bad weather and left early. Both the caretaker and the owner were always immediately available for questions. We wanted to discover some less popular spots in Italy. It’s a beautiful part of Italy, less touristy, not a lot of the English spoken which was fine since I was trying to improve my Italian. It’s a very rugged and rustic part of Italy. Very mountainous and the roads leave something to be desired. But the Villa is lovely it has everything one would need for a vacation.

Summary: Majestic views, stunning sunsets and easy access to the town of Zambrone, Tropes and Pizzo. This home is lovely modern with a fine, workable kitchen, tiled bathrooms and comfortable rooms. With a large community pool (shared by a few homes) and lots of lounge chairs, we enjoyed sitting outside where bright flowers and tasteful landscaping dotted the perimeter of the property. It was spotlessly clean and check in easy.

Summary: It was easy to rent the property online, and Janice, the host, answered all of our questions in advance. The villa appears to be close to brand new, and is in excellent condition. The villa is well equipped with the basics, and there are several small markets at the bottom of the hill -- 5 minute drive-- where you can purchase food to cook/eat if you don't plan to eat out every day. The villa is in a small hilltop complex with 6-8 similar villas, but each has their own separate property. They share a common pool area, which is quite nice. The location, in Marina de Zambrone, is in between Tropea and Pizzo, both worth visiting. You can also schedule tours of the area, including to the nearby Aeolian Islands, through tour companies in either one of the towns. We stayed in the villa for one week, and enjoyed every minute of it.

Summary: We rented the villa with friends from September 19th to September 26th 2020. Due to the excellent communication with Janice, the owner, we were well informed about the villa and the area before we even arrived. Our expectations were high, but in reality they were even exceeded. We, 5 adults, 2 couples and a single, felt very, very comfortable in casa Chiara. The villa offers so much space that we can walk through the 4 bedrooms and the 3 bathrooms. Due to the great layout of the villa, everyone had their own privacy but we were still together. Due to the time of year, we always had the beautiful pool area with the large jacuzzi to ourselves. The pool area is another highlight in the area, very spacious, very clean and invites you to relax. The house is very beautiful inside and out and very tastefully decorated. On the terrace there are new loungers, a large hammock and lots of large parasols. The view of the sea and the volcano, Stromboli, from the terrace of the villa and from the roof terrace is simply great. We also really liked the location in Zambrone. The beach is quick to get to, and Pizzo and Tropea are quick to get to. We had dinner at several restaurants in the area and it was good everywhere. For me personally, I was in the pasta and seafood paradise :-)) It was so nice that we decided to come back next year. Finally, thanks again to Janice. Hans-Georg and friends

Summary: We are 2 families, 4 adults, 4 teenagers who enjoyed an amazing week in a stunning Calabrian villa. This modern villa has everything that you need to make your stay stress free. It is slightly off the beaten track but that ensures peace and the most stunning of clifftop scenery. The views need to be seen to be believed, it is just gorgeous to be able to sit and watch the sun set over the sea every evening in a sky filled with oranges, pinks, reds. One evening we actually saw Stomboli erupting in the distance! It is only a short drive to Tropea which is a beautiful town with great restaurants and shops and the local beach at Zambrone is a short drive away, where you will find crystal clear waters warm enough to walk straight into. There is also a lovely pool at the villa if you do not want to venture far. This area of Italy is not to be missed! Thank you Janice for all of your help, you and Alberto made everything very easy for us. We will be back! :)

Summary: We spent 10 nights in beautiful Calabria with our 3 small kids. The house was perfect for us, clean, spacious. It had everything we needed. The amazing views from the terrace, from the roof top, from the master bedroom....honestly, to die for! The reality its even better than the photos! Thank you Janice for the opportunity to spend a relaxing holiday at your place, the kids already miss the sea, the food and the views from the house. If you really want to feel the true sense of living, come to Calabria and sleep a few nights in this house, you wont regret it :)
