The Foundry is newly renovated with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths and ready to welcome its next guests! Situated on 4 acres at the edge of Wayne National Forrest, The Foundry, boasts off road access to the Snake Hollow ATV Trail. The property is 0.8 miles from the historic Public Square in Nelsonville, Ohio. Just 24 miles to Old Man's Cave, The Foundry is located in a private area and hosts quick, easy access to both the Hocking Hills Region and Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
The home consists of a spacious mud/laundry room to corral all that hiking and riding gear that may come with you or, perhaps, that's where you'll store the amazing antiques you find at the Hocking Hills Flea Market in Rockbridge, until it's time take them home. The kitchen is fully stocked for making meals in. The 2 living rooms are decorated and furnished with comfy couches and a smart flat screen tv. The Bedrooms are all equipped with smart televisions. The master bedroom has a California King bed with private master bath. The other 3 remaining bedrooms have queen size beds and smart tvs. The second bathroom is located in the hall off the laundry room between the 3 queen bedrooms
Walking distance to Nelsonville's Public Square where you will find Stuart's Opera House (the new renovations are phenomenal!) and the local Mine Tavern. FullBrooks café sits on the opposite corner. The square is changing constantly with new vendors opening up doors that have been closed for far to long. Make sure you take a look around, there is so much happening in our little town.
The Nelsonville City Waterpark is located just another block from the square and across the street from the Rocky Outdoor Store and every local’s absolute favorite BBQ joints, Starbrick BBQ. This spot is also where you'll find the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway!

Summary: Great property - clean, spacious, all amenities. 30 minute drive to any/all Hocking Hills hiking locations. Kroger 5 minutes away - quite convenient. Very secluded property. Proximity to elevated highway may bother some, but it did not bother us. Neighborhood has seen better days, but we did not have any issues, but we also did not walk into town. Owner was a pleasure to work with - great communication along the way in the lead up to the stay and during the stay for questions. I would stay here again .

Summary: The property was spotlessly clean. Property manager couldn’t have been more helpful. When we accidentally locked ourselves out she was there within 15 minutes with a key. The property was furnished with every essential needed and even more with s’mores ingredients, popcorn, coffee, tea, creamers and many others that would not be expected in a vacation rental. The property was located close to a highway and the traffic bothered us the first night but we were used to it after that and slept very well. We had the area all to ourselves which was nice. Some firewood was furnished for the fire pit but renters should bring their own kindling which we had considered and did bring own. On the downside it was a little hard to find but other than that we had no complaints. A full length mirror would have been nice for the ladies.

Summary: We were in town to bike and enjoy the lakes. The place was spotless! Plenty of space we enjoyed the deck! Close proximity to town square and bike path. Plenty of towels and kitchen ware. Highly recommend

Summary: The pictures don't do it justice. We had so much space, and we really enjoyed all the extras. The firepit was perfect, and the furnished smores ingredients was a hit with the family. We played games and visited and just had the best time. The driveway is a little hard to catch the first go round. I would recommend a sign when coming down the hill so that you can see it. I would also recommend some ice cube trays for making ice. Outside of that, our stay was absolutely perfect! Thanks for a great stay. Would totally stay here again with a big group.

Summary: Such a comfortable home with ideal access to the atv trails in Wayne National Forest! This house was very spacious and well stocked. And the host was wonderful to work with; very accommodating and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Looking forward to our next trip down already!

Summary: We stayed for the weekend with 2 teen-age daughters to tour OU. What a treat! The home was clean and nicely decorated - We loved the fall touches! The girls appreciated the snacks and smores! The adults appreciated the comfortable beds and clean linens and snacks! The weather didn't cooperate to let us to go Old Man's Cave, but this location would be great for that too. The only issue we had was not being able to find the driveway at night, we got in after dark and could not see the sign at the bottom of the hill, not sure if there is a better way to describe the entry. Overall, it was a great experience.

Summary: We rented this spot to visit with my son, a student at OU. The weather didn’t cooperate so it was nice to have comfortable and inviting accommodations to gather in. The host really worked to have multiple thoughtful and inviting touches and the family had an enjoyable time. Everything was easy with this rental and would definitely return.
