4 Bedroom House in Fleischmanns, Halcott Center

Our 2 story A frame plus addition home was built in 1967 and renovated in 2006 but it stills has some of its 1960’s grooviness(Is that a word). The property is perched on a hilltop with 180 degree views of the meadows &, meandering brook below and the nearby hills that escalate into the sweeping Catskill mountains.160 acres of land previously part of the compound but now donated as forever wild, you won’t want to leave the grounds and your well behaved pet certainly won’t. Fully-equipped open kitchen with dining area(seats 8),pool table, 2Bose Ipod stereos, jacuzzi,50'Plasma, etc.etc
Onsite you will enjoy the expansive deck with its 6 person built in Jacuzzi hot tub and a nearly new oversized Weber gas grill. An outside dining table carved out of bluestone as well as swinging couches, rocking chairs and Adirondack chairs with foot rests complete the picture. We also have a toddler swing in a nearby tree as well as a relaxing hammock

ADVENTURE HIKES - STRENUOUS - Hikes ranging from 6-12 miles and 3-8 hours.
NIGHT HIKES - Frolic under the star filled skies as we hike over easy terrain experiencing nature nocturnal style.
SNOWSHOEING - Shake off that cabin fever which winter normally brings. Trek along the winter wonderland on a set of snowshoes while experiencing the forest with its winter blanket.

Summary: The house and area are gorgeous. We had a fantastic stay and no significant issues. We wish there had been some fans and some better supplies in the kitchen (example: we were told there was a blender, but all that was there was a broken food processor), but those were our only issues. The beds were comfy, everything was in working order otherwise, and the deck was absolutely awesome with the hot tub and the view. Cheers!

Summary: The house is secluded, sweet and quirky, with a gorgeous view. It snowed much of the time we were there, which wasn't exactly the plan (for spring break), but sitting in the hot tub while it snowed on us was juuuust fiiiine. The host was super responsive when we had questions or needed anything, and has included great details in the welcome info re: directions and local food shopping. Would definitely go back!

Summary: The house is really cute and in a beautiful area. We enjoyed the hot tub and deck. The kitchen, grills and bathrooms could be a lot cleaner but otherwise we had a great stay and enjoyed our time there.
