Summary: Good apartment in a nice location within walking distance of everything. Has parking. Communication is OK at best as the owner was somewhat surprised by our arrival even though we emailed the day before with approximate time. The beds are not in such a good shape, but usable. Overall it is a good choice for a short stay.

Summary: I have nothing but praise for the facilities, location and amiability of El Pilar rental house. For a family of 5 adults, the apartment is more than ample. Three large bedrooms, spacious bathrooms and nicely decorated, El Pilar made our short stay in Valencia very enjoyable. We appreciated being able to walk to the old part of town located just a few blocks away from El Pilar. Given its location and no traffic other than residents, the area is very quiet. Oh yes, having a parking spot available was key given the difficulty finding parking in old European cities. Finally, Inma, the owner, is a gem. She made sure we found our way to the place given that google map directions sometimes clashed with one-way streets or pedestrian malls. Finally, the price is a steal. You wont find a better deal anywhere, so go ahead and book it.

Summary: Inma was the best host ever! Although the property could use a better cleaning service, it was a fantastic place to visit Valencia. Perfect location within walking distance of the Cathedral, Mercat Central and other locations. Metro and bus are close. Inma was extremely helpful, friendly, and available. Gracias por todo!

Summary: You can’t beat the location! Easy walk to the Central Market and historical center of city. Although comfortable, this is not a deluxe apartment. No dryer even though the description says it has one. Missing some basic soaps and products. Overall it was clean but could have used a thorough cleaning in the corners.

Summary: It may be difficult to find an apartment that represents such good value for money in such an excellent location, close to the sights, good restaurants and public transport – and we were very grateful to be given earlier access after a very early morning flight. The apartment is however showing signs of its age and could benefit from some updating, or if not some amendments to the listing to reflect its present condition. The bedrooms were spacious and the bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor of the duplex were a welcome surprise and ideal for anyone a little less mobile; towels and bed linen though were worn and care had to be taken in the shower on the upper floor as it leaked badly onto the floor making it very slippery. The living area was more compact (we were 5 adults) and a more comfortable seating arrangement would be an asset. Sadly it was not as clean as we would have hoped and have come to expect in these times; we washed up what few kitchen items we used first. It could be a little noisy at night, but we stayed over a holiday weekend and it didn’t greatly disturb our sleep – a small price to pay for being in the centre of such a vibrant city. Whilst this may appear in part quite negative, we would not hesitate to stay again for its location alone.

Summary: Luxury, new, and duplex these terms do not apply to this property. With taped sofa, bathrooms at least 15 years old and number 6 in a multi apartment building (duplex means two) this property was not as advertised. The location is excellent which brought the score up. It had not been cleaned other than clean sheets on bed. There was dark beard hair in the sink, the floors not even swept, dust everywhere and finger prints on the glass table. With a comfortable sofa, rearrangement of living area and bathroom upgrades this could head towards luxury at least more enjoyable. The parking was very tight.
