Welcome to the Holiday House Paula!
You live in a large 120sqm modern newly built cottage in a quiet location, surrounded by gardens, with views of the mountain chains, on the southern slopes of the Kaiserstuhl in the warmest region of Germany.
Just a few minutes from the train and a few meters from the Kaiserstuhl cycle path, the result is a perfect mix between relaxation and adventure because of the proximity to local attractions such as the cathedral. How to get around without a car, with the cost-cone card safely. Bicycles can be rented in town. The central location in the border triangle allows easy and fast realizing a number of attractions, such as in Markgraeflerland, in the Black Forest or the neighboring Alsace. So also the Basel Zoo in about an hour's distance.
The residential street, yard and garden offer families with children pure fun, games and thus recovery.
By dividing the bedrooms and bathrooms over three floors, the house can be used as a 2-generation house. From the living room you enter a small balcony, the beautiful view invites you to linger evening.

Summary: The house was very clean and well equipped. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. A nice and quiet neighborhood and close amenities. A nice place to stay and close enough the city and Europa Park.

Summary: This was the second time we have stayed in this property and it was every bit as good as we remembered. This time we took advantage of the guest cards, travelling into Freiburg on the train….free of charge and so easy. When we arrived there were Easter decorations, eggs and a lovely bottle of local wine. Would definitely recommend.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't recommend the house and its gracious owners to anyone who might consider a vacation stay in the heart of the Kaiserstuhl wine region. The home afforded good separation of bedrooms between family and the grandmother. Well equipped home. A resounding Thank You!

Summary: This property has been furnished to a very high standard throughout and the accommodation is spread over four floors. There is plenty of space for a family of five across the three bedrooms including the loft space ideal for kids. The kitchen is large and fully equipped and there is a small first floor balcony off the lounge. The outdoor space is limited but includes a table and chairs. The only limitation is that the house faces mainly north but it has nice views over the village to compensate. There is excellent public transport which is free with the local tourist cards. The bakery in the village is open in the mornings for fresh bread and other basic supplies. Well located for EuropaPark at Rust. We enjoyed our brief stay.

Summary: We have been renting many holidays homes over the past years and this house has managed to enter the top three! The lay out of the house works, it is extremely well equipped and so nice and clean. The hosts are wonderful too - checking in on a non intrusive way to see if all is ok. And on a few mornings a wee plate of raspberries was out in the terrace table - so happy boys! All in all a terrif week and we were sad to leave!

Summary: The house is very modern, clean and very well equipped which was ideal for a family of 5. The rooms are light and spacious. There are 3 bathrooms/ toilets and a separate utility room. There was easy parking. The village has a good bakery and a restaurant serving traditional food. We used the railway into Frieburg as the station is within walking distance of the house. The use of public transport was free due to the guest cards. We explored the Black Forest from the house. We all slept well as the village is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay.

Summary: The rental property was accurately described on VRBO but the pictures don't really do it justice. The property is almost new, spotlessly clean and very, very well equipped. As en example, we liked the coffee machine so much we thought of buying one like it. We were shocked to find it costs US$800. All of the fixtures and facilities are of that grade. The house has both water-based and photo-voltaic solar systems that look like something from the engine room of the star ship Enterprise. Everything worked beautifully. The rooms are spacious, light and airy with windows that can open or tilt, and which are equipped with built-in roller blinds ("Rolladen") and screens. The house is located at the end of a short lane in a tiny village that has a bakery and a fine restaurant. Several grocery stores and other shops are in the nearby village of Ihringen. We found this to be the perfect base for our vacation. The house is set in the most relaxing surroundings imaginable, but is an easy drive to local attractions such as Freiburg, Staufen, Colmar and (our favorite) Roufach on the French wine road. The owners could not have been nicer or more helpful.
