Welcome to Sol de Mar (Sea Sun) - an exciting new contemporary oceanfront property on Fort Fisher Blvd. North in Kure Beach. Leave your shoes at the door and sink in to this wonderfully new and well-appointed slice of paradise. Stroll out to the beach, relax at the swimming pool, read a book on the porch, or enjoy the multitude of activities our beach and town have to offer.
This brand new home has an open and contemporary design inside and out. Enjoy the sweeping and commanding views up and down the coastline from the porch, the main living areas, and the master bedrooms. The private walkway provides direct access to a uniquely private section of Kure Beach, far from busy parking lots and public beach access points.
There is a large wraparound deck accessible from both living/dining areas as well as the primary bedrooms. The decks overlook the ocean, pool, and a large patio area. The private elevator takes you from the ground floor up to the top floor. There is nearly 1500 square feet of decking and patio space.

Minutes away you will find an 18-hole public golf course, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, Fort Fisher State Historic Museum, coffee at Happy Hippies or Crush and Grind and many family-friendly restaurants. A Publix grocery is 2.5 miles away.

Summary: This house was absolutely perfect for our family (ages 5-85) to gather after a memorial service for my mother. We rented both units and had excellent spaces to gather as a large (21 person) group or find solitude as needed. The open kitchen and living spaces and the large porches with ocean views were exactly what we all needed. We watched tons of dolphins and even a few whales from the porch and the brave were able to surf and dip in the ocean! The whole home was pristine and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. This rental exceeded our expectations and we all wished we could stay longer! Thank you!

Summary: We had a large extended family gathering with 22 people ranging in age from 8 to 80. Everyone loved our second visit even more than the first because this house is a very special gem. Incredible views, great location (rent bikes) and so relaxing. Highly recommend!

Summary: This house is absolutely beautiful. As you can see from the listing, it is unlike any beach house I've stayed at on the NC coast in the past. Everything you could need is at the prop, so you can maximize your time enjoying the house, beach, and pool. The owners are extremely communicative, so you should expect to be as well. This is not a party house, so it is important to have that expectation as renters. The result is a beautifully-upkept house. Keep in mind that the floors are separate units, even if you rent both of them (it's important to keep kitchen items, etc. on their original floors). My family had a very memorable stay here and highly recommend it to any future visitors. We appreciate the thoughtfulness and responsiveness of the owners.

Summary: This house worked very nicely for our group of 22. The property was very clean and Jeff was very attentive to our needs. Window and doors do need to remain closed at all times to keep the HVAC system working properly so that is just something to keep in mind.

Summary: We had a large family gathering with 11 adults and 11 children. This home is gorgeous and well stocked with incredible views, we were able to see the weekly Thursday night fireworks from the deck, watch the moonrise over the horizon and enjoy a fabulous week together. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive both before and during our stay. It was a perfect week.
