Situated on Timberline's Salamander Trail but close to all attractions, four major ski areas including Canaan Valley Resort State Park, Timberline Mountain, Whitegrass, Blackwater Falls State Park.
Also a hike up to cross over to Dolly Sods. Nonsmoking, Sleeps 8. Snow Oaks is a home with all the basics provided.

Summary: My boyfriend and I had 2 criteria for the cabin we would choose, location/close proximity to the ski trail and a hot tub. This was a great choice that accommodated our wishes! Its very conveniently located on Salamander trail which was a great refresher run to the lift, nice place to stop off for lunch and a pleasant last run of the day. The layout of the house was very open with big windows, which was nice on the sunny, warm winter day. The hot tub was inside which allows privacy but we also liked that on the 20 degree first night, we weren't freezing the second we stepped out! Unfortunately the 4 stars instead of 5 comes from our arrival (which ended up being around 7:30) - picked up the key and found the house, only to find we could not get in any of the 4 outside doors! We luckily had cell service to call the maintenance person, who was very helpful and diligent trying to get us inside. He said it had happened for the last group as well. It was an hour and a half until another maintenance guy came out with a working key. We were just 2 adults waiting in our car for this time but I can't imagine a larger group with kids being as patient as we were. Maybe this can be resolved by replacing these door knobs and dead bolts! Otherwise inside there was some water damage that was expected due to the mountain and snow making as well as an outdated kitchen, these things weren't really an issue for us but we noticed them. Overall a really great stay, with just that delay and hiccup at the beginning!

Summary: Loved the area location of the cabin. Would be great for a ski party because the deck opens right to the slope and the area is extremely quiet.

Summary: Needs some TLC. Very well equipped. W&D towels before leaving was a bit of a hassle. Maybe wash and staff throws them in dryer.

Summary: This was a great experience. However, we were not able to get the WiFi to work for us and when we called for help, the desk person was unable to help us. We believe that they had given us the wrong password and when we asked about it, the desk person had multiple passwords listed for the property and none were correct. We had to go the duration of our stay without internet which was a little tough due to spotty signal in the area.
