Negative: Staff was friendly but still some agreements were not fully met .... still since the owner was not around most was very good

Positive: Location, Nice pool area, big, comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly host couple. Delicious breakfast. Excellent wifi connection in the restaurant/reception.

Negative: A bit high prices on food and drinks compared with other places we visited in Malawi.

Summary: A very nice, relaxing lodge — we absolutely enjoyed our days by the river.

Positive: Its a little oasis at the bottom of a very steep, very bumpy track. A fantastic situation overlooking the river with a large, open sided, traditionally constructed sitting and dining area. Monika and Rory are fantastic hosts, extremely friendly and helpful and enjoyable to spend time with. Food is excellent home cooking, the cooked breakfasts after an early morning game drive in neighbouring Majete Park being particularly memorable. Our hut/ chalet was cosy, clean and equipped with all we needed.

Negative: Couldn't fault anything

Summary: Loved it. Undoubtably the accommodation highlight on our tour of Malawi

Positive: It is a peaceful and beautiful place, located next to Shire River and 10min drive from Majete reserve. The lodges are comfortable and well equiped. The food was good and the staff lovely. The owner was welcoming and more than generous. I stayed for 2 days but it felt like longer vacation.

Summary: I warmly recommend the place and hope I will come back one day!
