Summary: A lovely, well equipped typically French property in a rural location. Communication with the owner was excellent and despite a mix up on arrival this was soon resolved. The property is about 20 mins outside of Périgueux and in a great location for exploring other areas as well.

Summary: The house is clean, welcoming and spacious, peacefully located with some other houses in the coutryside. We stayed with our family of five and another family of four, with children aged 1 to 7. Everything was as described. We liked the garden with play set, Nice pool, different terasses, bbq-area, .... the kitchen was well equiped, and there was even a space to cook outdoors. Communication with the owner and the lady who takes care of the house was efficient. We shopped for groceries in nearby villages, Mensignac and St-Astier, but Perigueux is a beautiful little town with excellent shopping and a market twice a week, only 20min away. I would definitely recommend thisplace for a relaxing family holiday.

Summary: Positively .. We enjoyed the pool area and the outdoor seating area and the kitchen was well stocked. Communication before our arrival was excellent and the lady who met us was punctual and helpful. Negatively .. The property was certainly big enough but not warm or homely. The house always appeared to be dark .. reading a book even with the lights always appeared to be a challenge. The internet was only available in certain rooms. Much emphasis was put on taking a deposit to make sure the site was left satisfactorily and clean although there seemed to be plenty of dust and cobwebs about........ For us the property was a bit isolated. Everything was always a journey away.

Summary: we had a lovely stay at Gite-Gigi & Lolo, the house is lovely, spacious and quiet, in a secluded rural spot, with easy access to the nearby villages, a short drive away. The property had all we needed during out stay, well equipped kitchen, as we love to cook, a large rear garden with a lovely pool to relax in, and all the usual facilities you'd expect. The owner-Gilles, couldn't do enough to help if needed, via email or phone, along with the lovely house keeper, and close neighbour, who we meet up with for drinks.

Summary: Super house, very well equipped. Rural location but within easy reach to many interesting towns and attractions; Perigieux, Sarlat, Brantome, Auberterre sur Dronne and Lascaux caves. Lovely swimming pool and plenty of outdoor areas to sit and relax in after a day out. Friendly neighbours.
