Centrally located in the historic center of Oberammergau, almost next door to the Church of St. Peter and Paul, is in Lüftlmalereck since 1690 the Mussldomahaus. It is considered the oldest farmhouse Oberammergau and carries on the main façade frescoes of the famous painter Franz Seraph Zwink, called "The Lüftlmaler".
After prolonged vacancy, we have just completed the extensive renovation of the house.
The newly renovated and lovingly furnished apartment with breathtaking mountain views has built, modern, fully equipped kitchenette, a cozy living / dining room with satellite TV, a separate bedroom with double bed and a bathroom with rain shower.
The apartment is suitable for two people.
In the bright rooms you have a wonderful view on the mountain Kofel.
Use of the garden on the south side overlooking the mountains Kofel and Laber is inclusive.
Free Parking is available in front of the house.

The one bedroom apartment, located in the rear of the building on the ground floor, can also be the Holiday "Himmelblau" booked together on the first floor so that you have a completed holiday home available.
The Mussldomahaus located in the ancient village of Oberammergau. From here recommend taking a walk through the village with its cafes, restaurants and small shops, museums, the swimming pool "Wellenberg" and last but not least the Passion Theatre.
Several supermarkets are located about 1 km, or about 10 minutes, away, as the Oberammergau Bahnhof.
The two local mountains Kofel and Laber, to which you can take numerous walks are within walking distance, also as in winter trails and toboggan hills. The nearest ski areas are within a few minutes by car.
The nearby Garmisch-Partenkirchen attracts the Zugspitze and a beautiful infrastructure.
In a few minutes you reach the famous Ettal Abbey and the Royal Castle Linderhof, to which there are also great hiking trails.
And should you but once move to the big city, Munich is with all its cultural and culinary possibilities at just an hour.

Summary: Are first visit to southern Bavaria was enhanced by our short stay at this property. The owner was courteous, kind and informative. The apartment was nicely appointed, super clean, and had everything we needed . The location was perfect for attending the Passion Play and many other nearby attractions. We can’t wait to go back !

Summary: It was all that we expected, and them some more. Cornelia and Lutz were such warm and welcoming hosts. Lutz showed us around and explained everything. The apartment is clean, cozy, comfortable and has all the amenities necessary for your stay. We were there for the Passion Play. That was an awe-inspiring experience, made even more wonderful by our stay. Would surely like to visit once again.

Summary: This is a beautiful accommodation in a beautiful village. The apartment is perfect and the use of the side garden for our glass of wine is a bonus. Cornelia is very gracious and took me on a tour of the house. We loved every minute of oour time there.

Summary: We stayed for two weeks with a short break in the middle while we visited the Berchtesgaden area. I cannot fault the flat as it fitted our needs exactly. Cornelia was on hand to answer any questions we might have. Off street parking is excellent. The walk into the centre of the town is just a couple of minutes. In our experience Oberammergau was probably the best town to stay in this area due to its position and availability of shops and restaurants. The major sights are less than 1 hour drive away. I could say that the scenery is outstanding - but it's actually waaaayyy better than that. The walking in the area is spectacular. If you wish to climb the 'Kopfel' you will find that most of the walk is quite do-able if you are fairly fit ... until the last 100 feet of ascent where it becomes quite difficult. But the view is well worth it. From near the top take the easy footpath to the cable car station for an excellent lunch then either the cable car or the really fun 2.4 kilometre Alpine Coaster toboggan run. Eating out is standard Bavarian fare but you do get a little fed up with endless pork knuckle and dumplings after a couple of weeks. The Italian restaurant provided a change but was a little underwhelming. I could say a lot more but it's better if you go and find out for yourself.

Summary: The apartment is located in a renovated historic house in Oberammergau. The apartment is quite small but very clean and comfortable and is perfect for two people. The back yard is nice with a view of the mountans. We enjoyed meeting Lutz who was very nice and gave us a tour of the house, explaining some of the history and showing us the renovations that had been completed. The only downside was that the WLAN signal was very weak. We enjoyed our stay very much and would return again.
