Located at the end of a dirt road, on scenic farmland. Enjoy uninterrupted expansive views. This home is both remote and connected -- it's way out in the middle of the woods, but just over four miles from Rochester, a village with fine dining, cafes, tennis courts, and art galleries.
If you'd like, we'd be happy to help you venture off the beaten path. Ask us about secluded swimming holes, agri-tourism, berry picking, open artists' studios.
Hikers and mountain bikers enjoy direct access to an extensive network of trails. Or take a short walk from the door to nearby lookouts, moose paths and beaver ponds.

Summary: This trip was by far the best thing I've done for myself this year. This place is amazing and beautiful. Walking my dogs through fields and up trails was great. The hosts were extremely kind, they thought of everything. Well stocked with pots and pans. I love the lighting in the loft , again they thought of evrything. Definitely making this my spot for future retreats!

Summary: The cottage was exactly as described. Alice was great at communicating and answering all of my questions leading up to the arrival date. It rained most of the days we were there but it honestly didn't matter because it was so nice to get away and we had everything we needed in the cottage. Only regret not staying longer... aka will be going back again for sure!! :) Thank you Alice for sharing your space with us. FIVE stars all around.

Summary: What a beautiful retreat to just get away from it all. "Off the Grid", was exactly what we were looking for and this adorable spot offered that and more. My husband and I can't wait to return. We are thinking a visit during the snowy season to explore the trails while cross country skiing. Summary: This loft was just perfect. We loved it, 2 dogs loved it. Town was close if you even need anything. Trails were great and we even saw a Moose at the Rocheater gap! Only things that would have increased the perfection would have been easier to find printed trail and end of stay directions since it really is off the grid. The house and property were clean, but utensils, plates and pans had to be washed before using and glasses had lip marks still, which was disappointing. We really were so extremely happy with our stay though! we hope to come back to the loft for future getaways!!!!!
