Ocean Blue is a fabulous beach house overlooking the main surfing beach at Currumbin. It is one of only a handful of beach properties perched on Currumbin hill, nestled in the rainforest for privacy yet also giving you unrestricted ocean views and only a 50 metre walk to the main surfing beach.
The house has just been extensively renovated, in the California beach style, with expansive full length verandas on each level overlooking the surf. Ocean Blue offers dual living set out over 2 levels and is perfect for a family holiday. Your small, well behaved dog is also permitted to join you while you relax on holidays!
The lower level offers 2 airconditioned bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with 2 XL single beds, built in wardrobes and ceiling fans. There is also a brand new kitchenette with cooktop, refrigerator, microwave and spacious bathroom with luxurious shower. A full length balcony guarantees Currumbin beach views from the lounge, dining, front bedroom and kitchen.
If you ever tire of the views, you can retreat the lounge room and relax in comfort with large flat screen smart TV, Netflix, Foxtel and free WiFi.
The upper level is airconditioned and offers the luxurious master suite with king size bed, and a plantation shutter window to capture the ocean views. The large bathroom ensuite has been designed for the ultimate relaxation, with a large stand alone bath with plantation shutter window so you can gaze at the ocean while enjoying your bath.
There is also a second lounge room complete with comfortable furnishings, smart TV, Netflix, Foxtel and free WiFi.
Cooking will never be a chore in the fully equipped kitchen with stone benchtops, top of the range Miele appliances including dishwasher, microwave and plenty of bench and storage space.
There is also an expansive covered alfresco deck with dining table, perfect to enjoy meals and escape strong ocean breezes.
All rooms on this level offer incredible ocean views enjoy sunrises over the ocean, whale watch in winter or check the surf before heading down to the beach.
Ocean Blue is one of a rare few homes with direct access to the council footpath leading down to Currumbin beach which is only a minutes walk away.
If that's not enough, there is an undercroft area with ping-pong table and laundry facilities including with washing machine and dryer. Ocean Blue offers secure off-street parking for 2 cars.
Ocean Blue is a family home located in a quiet neighbourhood. It is not a party house and activities including bucks nights, hens nights, raves, wedding receptions, gatherings, functions or parties are strictly prohibited.
In accordance with Gold Coast City Council and the Holiday Rental Industry Guidelines, disturbance to the neighbours, including excessive noise and anti-social behaviour is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of all monies paid.
* One small dog permitted upon approval (no cats or other pets permitted). Your dog must not be left alone at the property at any time, and all efforts must be made to minimise barking/ noise. The property is not fully fenced and supervision is required if your pet is outside.

Summary: We stayed for 5 nights over the Easter break in this wonderful home, the views and location to the beach were magnificent and we really loved our stay. Our only downsides were the cleanliness of the home wasn't 100% with dead cockroaches on the floor on both levels, sand on lounges and tables and outside lounge cushions all over the floor - it didn't look like it had been cleaned just prior to us arriving, the home was also unlocked when we arrived, despite having to travel to Coolangatta to retrieve and return keys upon leaving the property. The listing also mentioned a third level with a Ping-Pong table, this looked like a storage room and wasn't inviting to spend any time in plus could have been considered dangerous for children with chemicals/paint and tools stored in this area and I couldn't see any balls or paddles to play should we want to. Thanks again, we will be back :)

Summary: The property itself was wonderful, great location and an easy walk to the beaches. We have stayed in many Stayz properties over the years. It was extremely disappointing that we had to supply everything from washing detergent, sugar, basic condiments even salt and pepper etc., which in the past has always been provided by the hosts. We were told to pick up the keys at Coolangatta, and received a text to inform us that the keys had to be retuned, and we checked out by 0930. In normal circumstances, they keys are available at the property and left at the property. We were given a "gift pack" from Gold Coast Holiday Houses, when we collected the keys. This comprised 150ml long life milk, 3 or 4 sugar sachets, two tea bags, couple of packets of biscuits, 1 sachet of detergent, chux and a sponge and a couple of other sachets. For the cost per night, we would have expected a great deal more to have been available, as they have been in all other properties. Communication with the hosts was difficult. I was told that I had to ring them back when the correct person was on duty because I had a question. When asked if they could ring me the reply was no. As stated, the property itself was wonderful. We will not be using Gold Coast Holiday Homes again.

Summary: We had six adults, a very young baby and 2 small dogs. The view was incredible, thought we saw a whale, not sure. Some friendly lorikeets visited us daily which was delightful. Such a great house. So comfortable and a short stroll down a side path to the beach to walk on the glorious beach front and to the cafe for morning coffee. We were so relaxed. We were so comfy and the two levels meant that the rest of us were in disturbed by our very young grand baby. All the appliances were excellent. I can’t wait to go back.

Summary: Our family stayed 3 weeks at this home, having 2 living spaces allows for independent living on both floors which just means privacy. If your looking for a good Aussie bbq, forget it, this place does not cater for a BBQ which really takes away from the Aussie bbq culture and limits food options for hosting guests. Be aware, the strangest thing, sheets, pillow cases, bath towels, beach towels, any linen of any kind was not included, we were advised to rent our own as we are from the states and had no resources to fall back on. In the end we just bought it all new, we had never spent a large amount of money on accommodation and not had linen, a real let down.... the lack of no bbq just made this trip a bomb. We will look for a more inclusive property next time, they are there, which do include linen and a BBQ with a beautiful home and views of the ocean for less money. Thanks... We weren't impressed

Summary: We had a great time staying at Ocean Blue. The view is fabulous and there is always something happening on the beach which you can stroll down to at any time of day. Good cooking facilities and comfortable beds (bring your own linen). Nothing not to like.
