3 Bedroom Cabin in Willis

Located in beautiful Willis (Floyd County), Virginia, the cabin is secluded with plenty of hiking, fishing and relaxation. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Floyd's famous Buffalo Mountain are minutes away. With great views and plenty of family-friendly activities, you're next vacation home is ready. Remember, at Buffalo Mountain Getaway, 'There's no place like home, except here.'.
The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are actually the upper floor separated by a stair case. You will not have doors in between. The stairs are steep, which are great for kids, but adults will have to go a little slower.
You have the run of the home as well as more than 60 acres of trails and a stream. Pets really enjoy the roam, but keep them close to you at all times so they don't get lost.
Our home is strictly no smoking. By accepting our terms, you agree to pay a fee of $150 for cleaning if the home has evidence of smoking.
Pet Policy:
We don't charge a pet fee, as we are pet people ourselves. Your pets are welcome, BUT YOU MUST LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE. Please understand that we WILL charge you an additional cleaning fee of $75 if we find pet hair on the linens, in the bed or on the furniture. As some folks are allergic, if we find pet hair, we have to do a more thorough cleaning. NO EXCEPTIONS. In addition, should your pet urinate or defecate on the rugs, furniture, etc. you will be charged either replacement costs or $150 professional cleaning fee, whichever is applicable.
You must be in control of your pet at all times.
Do not leave your pets unattended, unless they are crated.
You are responsible for any damage made by your pet.
And lastly, please pickup after your pet outside.
Just a few reminders:
1 - Pets allowed with permission, MAX 2 dogs, sorry NO cats.
2 - Absolutely NO Smoking of any kind
3 - Please do not move furniture
4 - Keep it clean. When you leave it should look the same as you entered, with the exception of bed linens and towels
5 - Remember it's our home, so treat it with respect
6 - If you plan to use the firepit, bring your own wood, and don't forget the marshmallows :)
7 - There is a pack n' play at the cabin in case you need it.
8 - The grill is propane.
9 - There is limited cell coverage at the Cabin. Please feel free to have family call you on the land line. Number can be found in the Cabin.

Summary: Our stay at the remote cabin was enjoyable and comfortable. The amenities furnished helped make our stay relaxing. There was nothing lacking. We woke to a chilly 38 degrees outside but the cabin was warm. Pat is a fine host! Glad we had a truck to cross the small stream on our way up to the cabin.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in Off the Beaten Path. This cozy cabin, nestled in the woods, offers privacy and tranquility. We enjoyed our time sitting around the outdoor fire pit roasting marshmallows and listening to the peaceful sound of the stream running next to us. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our weekend visit. Just be aware that there are a fair amount of animals mounted on the walls. The nearby market had lots of supplies and we were even able to pick up some nice filet mignon that we grilled at the cabin. Pat, the owner, was quick to respond to my questions and provided all of the essentials from milk to toilet paper. We enjoyed our hike on the Rocky Knob trail off of the Blueridge Parkway and our visit to Chateau Morrisette Winery. I would definitely recommend visiting the area and staying at this cabin.

Summary: This is what you picture when you say hunting cabin. The property is beautiful and serene, the creek babbles and the crickets chirp. My three young children and dog loved playing in the creek while my wife and I watched from the porch. We will definitely be coming back sometime in the future. If you are into mushroom hunting I found a large group of chanterelles and saw some chicken of the woods along a nearby road.
