4 Bedroom House in Offranville

*** The Manor was built here more than 5 centuries, in 1480, in the days of knights and tournaments! This house of nobility timbered is one of the oldest and most beautiful Haute Normandie. There is the knowledge of the Companions of the Tour de France in the beautiful and powerful structure of oak, the arrangement of the studs and the remarkable carved flint checkered who will participate in pleasure having lunch on the terrace.
The large dining room chandeliers, with its beautiful space of 40 sqm surrounded by timbered will experience friendly moments with family and friends. Much of that time model ship can be admired. We can have coffee in the lounge, while the children enjoy the garden to run around and invent a thousand games with all the space they want.
Previously the bright kitchen and 4 meters work plan will have helped prepare together a festive meal, helped by good level of equipment (induction hob, fan oven, microwave, 2 refrigerators, freezer, dishwasher, etc. ...)
Large doors by hand forged nails give a castle atmosphere like pretty vintage hinges finished with a heart shape. The wolf head bolt reminds us that the wolf was part of the environment of the inhabitants of that time.
The staircase timbered said 'encloisonné' leads you upstairs to the 4 bedrooms, 3 couple rooms with large beds in (160 x 200), a children's room with 4 single beds (90 x 190) and 2 bathrooms. 3 WC toilets are present.
For details quantities charming, with its space and authenticity, this Manor which has survived the centuries gives an impression of comfort, warmth and beauty.

Summary: A beautiful property in a lovely part of France. Le Manoir is ideal for a family holiday, well equipped and spacious. The large, secluded garden is perfect for children and the terrace ideal for barbeques. Lovely beaches, picturesque villages and the town of Dieppe are close by so there is plenty to see and do.

Summary: Lovely rustic place just as it appears in the photos, with a huge garden for kids to run around in. Three minutes walk to the shops of Offranville and ten minutes drive to the beach (I'd recommend Vasterival!) We'd happily stay at Le Manoir again.

Summary: We stayed in Le Manoir from 24 March -7 April. There were 6 adults ,a7year old and an 18 month old baby . There was ample room without getting under anyone's feet. The house is so unusual we thought we had stepped back in time!! We named it our little Hobbit house...very quirky and unusual and original. The rooms are as described and to be honest we spent most of the time in the beautiful dining room which was a perfect social space . The bedrooms are big enough and my grand-daughter loved the room with the single beds as it had a small wooden bench in for her to sit at and play/write/colour in , so,perfect if there are children staying . The bathrooms are adequate but only one shower cubicle ...the other one has a bath and a hand hand shower so yo need to be aware of this . You have to be organised if everyone wants a morning/evening shower but not impossible. There are plenty of pots, pans ,plates, cutlery etc.....probably the best stocked kitchen we have had in a rented property. The garden area is vast and again perfect for children and you get the sun until quite late in the evening so perfect for sitting out with a glass of wine. The only one thing I would say is that the beds are not made up for you on arrival . We had travelled 12 hours and on arriving had to then make up the bed. There is no kettle and no English TV channels . This didn't bother us as we used the evenings for reading/board games etc but you should be aware of this. Offranville itself is lovely with everything you might need and within 5 minutes walking distance from the house. You have a supermarket, butchers, several bakeries,a couple of bar-tabacs and a market on Friday afternoon so you don't always need the car. One of the delights for my grand-daughter was to watch the chickens in the bakers window for Easter growing ... a daily visit and she loved it!!! Dieppe is about a 10 minute drive away and has plenty for all the family. ..beautiful long promenade...play areas for children.. fantastic restaurants..museum ,castle and well worth a visit. We spent a few afternoons in Pourville, a smaller village but again offering stunning scenery as do all the small coves along the coast. Farther away ay just over an hours drive are Etretat and Honfleur.....stunning places and worth the drive ,but make them day trips as there is so much to see and do. All the family had a fantastic time and are ready to start planning a return trip.

Summary: The manor is stunning with great sized bedrooms and living space and a lovely garden. We stayed as a group of 10 and we found the property to be extremely comfortable for a group of that size. We particularly liked the dining area which was huge with a huge dining table which comfortably sat all of us and would have easily sat more. The owner is extremely helpful and amenable and I would definitely recommend this property for location, price and quality

Summary: We were a mixed family group - five adults and five children (aged 18 months to 11 years), celebrating a family birthday. The house was perfect for us in every way. M. & Mme Lenne were prompt, courteous, helpful and efficient with all the (email) planning for our trip. They established trust very quickly, and I had no hesitation in sending the payment to them. M. Lenne speaks good English, and entirely charming on arrival, really setting the tone for our holiday. The house was exactly as described. My own children (3, 7, 10 & 11) like to share a bedroom on holiday, and one bedroom had a substantial, wooden bunk bed as well as two further wooden single beds. They all felt very sturdy and all the kids slept well. We used a cot in another bedroom which worked well. All of the bedrooms were equally lovely - there is no 'weak' bedroom, so the adults had no awkward moments deciding who got which room! The house was spotlessly clean, and very well-equipped. The dishwasher was a real bonus! The large garden was brilliant. We ate lunch outside on mild days, and the kids had plenty of space for football/frisbee/boules etc. There is a large television with some English-language channels if you get a rainy day and need to calm the kids down. We all walked each morning to buy bread etc from the boulangeries of Offranville (a different one seemed to be open each day!), and were very impressed by how rural the house felt, yet also how close to the amenities of Offranville we were. Given we stayed in in the evenings, as my daughter and niece are so young (three years and 18 months respectively), it was wonderful to have such a beautiful period interior in which to spend our time. The quality of the renovations is exceptional, the woodwork is stunning! Dieppe is a short (ten minute) drive away, with a range of restaurants serving everything from pizza to mussels (delicious!) and everything in between. There are a few good beaches very nearby, with a fantastic range of rock pools for inquisitive kids to explore. There are also some amazing rural/woodland walks available from the house itself, which is great when a car journey doesn't appeal. Our children are already pressing us to return to this beautiful property next year. The house is wonderful, and the hospitality the more so. For anyone wanting to explore this beautiful part of Normandy from a stunning period house in an ideal location I cannot recommend this house highly enough.

Summary: We had a lovely holiday in a very comfortable house. There was a well prepared local information document in the house which served as our activity guide over the fortnight. Beyond the immediate area we also spent a day on the Somme battlefields which took us just under 2 hours to get to using the motorway network. I would certainly recommend the house for large families/groups. Our teenage children spent a lot of time playing cricket and badminton on the large lawn. All the administration steps with the owner, Antoine Lenc, were efficient and seamless (thank you!) John M, Shropshire, UK
