Positive: The staff were very accommodating and polite. The room was big, clean and nicely organised. The amenities in the room were nice, and the amenities in the hotel itself were plentiful and a warm addition. The view of the outdoor onsen was nice as well.

Negative: The location is not great in terms of restaurants. I think there is a train that can be taken to the nearby towns. But I still think you need a car to comfortably be here and have the freedom to explore the area.

Positive: Everything was wonderful. The reception staff were the nicest staff I had ever met. Breakfast is traditional Japanese breakfast, so if that's not something you're after, just a warning. But everything was truly wonderful!

Positive: Check in and out was really easy and most of the staff had a relatively good command of English. The half board had some unique dishes (e.g. we had a swordfish dish for dinner) and the food was really good. The staff also took the time to tell us what each dish was in English! The room also had a really good view!

Negative: The private bathroom was on the smaller side with just a shower and smaller bathtub, and there were no hooks in the bathroom. Also, not a dislike but just something to note: The private bathroom's glass windows do not come with a way to block vision, though this is largely fine as there is no way to look into the bathroom from the exterior or the sea. However, it IS possible for a roommate to go to the balcony and look at the bathroom's bathtub through the side glass window.

Positive: A delicious varied Japanese style breakfast. Bath was spacious with a nice view of the bay, although the outdoor bath is not very large. Friendly staff that speaks some English, but is cheerfully helpful.

Negative: I forgot to arrange dinner and there weren't any good options around (without a car).

Positive: Breakfast and dinner were outstanding.

Negative: Our room was the smallest we stayed in on our trip, so it did seem a little small for the quality of the hotel.
