Large country property in beautiful setting. Enjoy wildlife yet be close to all amenities in Huntington, Barboursville and even Charleston WV . Beautiful in any season. Excellent for Retreats or Reunions, even out of town Wedding guests.
1 bedroom with queen bed and sitting area on second floor.
1 bedroom with 2 twin beds and sitting area on second floor.
Separate sitting area in second floor hallway.
Possibility to add Jenny Lind twin w/trundle to either bedroom ($40 extra per booking).
Large Family room with large smart TV on first floor.
Large Formal living and dining rooms on first floor.
Fully equipped kitchen.
Laundry room w/washer & dryer & sink
Bedrooms have smart TVs.
1 full bath with 2 sinks and separate tub and shower on second floor.
1/2 bath on first floor.
Two large porches.
Plenty of parking.
Catch & Release Pond for fishing (previously stocked).
Near Green Bottom Wildlife Refuge (2.2 miles). There is a boat launch in this area also.
Near Marshall University (12 miles): Campus visit, Football weekend or Basketball games, Other sport or academic occasions. Graduation weekends, visiting Professors.
Famous “Hillbilly Hotdogs” featured on Guy Fieri’s Triple D. just down the road(4.5 miles) (Hillbillyhotdogs.com).
Fly-in-Cafe at Robert Newlon Airport has MANY Special Events—music festivals, fireworks etc. (8.3 miles -Check it out on Google, Facebook, Yelp, etc.)

Far North Farm & Events is approx. 1 mile. This is a wedding venue available for elopement etc. My property would be ideal for pre or post wedding stays. Or, if not a true “elopement,it is a wonderful place for out of town family or friends to stay.
Oars or Ours Kayaks in South Charleston (40 miles) rents Kayaks & SUP Boards for extended days and will deliver.

Summary: This house just oozes history, good times, and relaxation! We also stayed here in 2022, but enjoyed it this time even more. We spent lots of time on the front porch catching glimpses of the sun or moon reflecting off the mighty Ohio River, watching for deer, and visiting with family. Sydnee is a gracious host and made us feel very welcome again this visit. We accidentally left some clothes behind and she called to tell us before we got very far away so we could go back to get them! We hope to stay here again next summer!

Summary: This is our third time staying at this property. It's very large and beautiful. There is plenty of room for everyone to stay. Peaceful and quiet property and our host is always very helpful and accommodating and easily reachable if we have any questions. We will be back again next year! :)

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at Sydnee’s beautiful home. Sydnee was accommodating and responsive. The house is such a gem and the stay was fun and enjoyable. The boys loved fishing in the pond and everyone enjoyed the porches - they were used daily to watch the deer, geese, squirrels, rabbits and birds- this is a nature lover’s dream! We also enjoyed star gazing at night. It was a much needed break from the city life and we most certainly hope to stay in this beautiful home again. Thanks for a wonderful week of beautiful family memories that are priceless!

Summary: We loved this historical building. The interiors were beautifully redone. It was nice and private as well. We were able to relax and have fun here with no issues. There was plenty to do in a short drive away for fun day trips as well.

Summary: The house was wonderful and charming. We ended up calling a group of friends to give them a tour of the house because we were so impressed. The pictures online don’t quite capture how charming and peaceful this property is. My group of friends were all delighted and would be glad to come back as we travel around this area often.
