Summary: This was a great location on a huge canal. Kids enjoyed paddle boarding. The outside deck was awesome! The house had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Summary: The house was as described but I do want to clarify some things. I read the old reviews when booking and assumed the things that were made to past renters would be the same amenities that we would have but that was incorrect. I understand that they were impacted by a hurricane (which is why the golfcart wasn’t available) but this house was not worth the nightly price of booking that we paid but that is my fault because I failed to ask in more detail. There wasn’t enough room to dock two boats so we had to split our group up, the AC struggled to keep the house cold during the day and would stay almost 80 degrees until the sun went down so it was hard to cook without heating up the house. The boathouse was off limits, homeowner had his boat docked in it and the boathouse itself was locked up (other than a window that has been busted out). The RV pad has the homeowners boat trailer parked on it but thankfully we didn’t have anyone coming down to park there. The guest room that we had adults in stayed so hot that they had a hard time sleeping. One of the bikes provided was so rusted out it broke the first day. We have stayed all over Suwannee and had two groups with us staying at the condos and both units were better stocked than the supplies at our house. When the house was in its prime with the amenities that were originally available to renters, I think it would have been worthwhile. Other than that and the inclement weather, we enjoyed our week at the gulf!

Summary: The property was very clean and was right on the water. We weren’t able to get onto the water but boats, kayaks, and paddle boards were available. There is a nice fire pit where we made s’mores with stuff from the little store up the road. The property came with bikes and we were on them exploring the area until the sun went down. It was a great place and would definitely come back again.

Summary: The property and area were exactly what I was looking for. The property was super clean and had everything we needed. It was great relaxing out on the patio and dock, and by the fire pit at night. As an avid fisherman and boater, this property and area checked all of the boxes. The fishing was incredible and the boat accommodations left nothing to be desired. Coming from Tampa Bay, it was a breath of fresh air fishing in an area with relatively little fishing pressure. We hardly saw another boat while out on the water. The host, Jared, was great and very responsive. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to relax and/or get into some great fishing.

Summary: So nice to have a protected, freshwater anchorage to deploy our boat from for scalloping. Marina with gas nearby. Hammock, wrap around porches, rocking chairs, big grill and Netflix on the TV. Kids loved the golf cart and standup paddlboards. Extended our stay!

Summary: We had a great weekend at the Reel Retreat. The property was amazing and had so much to offer, like a really nice Pitboss grill, paddle boards, golf cart, hammock, games, bikes. Etc. you really don’t need anything else! We had a blast just hanging out with family and fishing all weekend. We can’t wait for the next visit since our trip!

Summary: Reel Retreat was a real pleasure to stay at! We spent a few days here and the Owner was very accommodating. The extra lot beside the house was great for me to pull my truck and boat trailer into. And the boat lift was extremely convenient to use while going to and from fishing daily! If you're looking for a nice, clean quaint house. This is it! Best of all it was pet friendly!
