Summary: When we first moved to France we stayed at this Gite while we searched for our new home. Francoise and Alain are the best hosts and made us feel so welcome. We just went back to see everyone and visit some sites we didn't get to see while we were there the first time. It was as we remembered and so enjoyed our visit.

Summary: Owners/hosts made us very welcome and on hand to help when required. Cottage was ideal for what we were looking for - self contained, quiet, private, secure parking and great base for cycling both sides of the Loire and very quiet back roads. Very large garden space front and back was a bonus. All made it an excellent weeks stay.

Summary: We had a lovely stay in this typically French house. Perfect location and lots of outside space for us and the dogs. Easy 4K cycle by the river up to Gennes and Roisiers and only 12k into Saumur for a bigger choice of shops and restaurants. Enjoyed kayaking on the river and ending the day with a cold beer at the local tabac. The house is a little old fashioned but perfect for a holiday stay. I would have like sun loungers in the garden but there was plenty of other seating and some lovely shady spots to sit and read and relax. Perfect for us.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay very much. De house is old but very spacious with large fenced front and back gardens. Ideal for our small dog. It's at walking distance from the Loire for nice evening walks. The neighbourhood is quiet. Very good boulanger just down the road. Strategically located between Saumur en Angers and the chateaus. We also loved the pak Oriental and lunch in the caves at Turquant.

Summary: Lovely old world property set in beautiful gardens. Village is rather quiet but close to Saumur and Angers. Lovely walks along the Loire. Owners living nearby available if needed but never intrusive!

Summary: "Great place for a relaxing quiet holiday, convenient to places we wanted to visit, great house and garden space for the kids, amenities fine for our needs, and the one small problem that arose was very quickly attended to. Helpful but unobstrusive owners nearby."

Summary: "Great welcome from the owner. The house was well laid out, very clean and all the info re. the region and was to visit was left with us. The only remark I would have is regarding the bathroom which was not as practical as was expected. Garden (on both sides of the house) was great which the kids enjoyed. This village is extremely peaceful. This region's inhabitants are the most friendly people I have the chance to come across in a long time. They are chilled and so well mannered, it's a real treat. When we visited it was on the quiet side so if you like lively in the evening, best not to choose this area. However it could be down to the fact that it was school holidays then. Found a great pizza place in the village called les Rosiers which is ideal for kids (play area whilst you wait for your dinner). Thanks again for the welcome!"
