Positive: Pedro was amazing and talked us through everything, nothing was too much trouble for him to organise or provide information.. If you want to be a little bit out of the tourist "path" but still very close to trams etc, and you don't require a sprawling apartment, this apartment is ideal.

Positive: Excellent location, all the facilities you could need on an extended stay. Beautiful apartment with a balcony view over the district. Excellent communication from the host Rui Pedro. We arrived late, his instructions were clear, he organised our pick up from the airport and ensured we could easily get into the apartment. On the day of our leaving he helped us with our bags to the train station and walked us down. Fabulous and welcoming host. We will definitely return.

Positive: It was a really great space! LOVED the skylight in the bedroom. I was also impressed by the service / housekeeping each day even though it was more of an apartment style stay. The hotel is located on a very quiet street so there was no noise disturbances at night or Morning. The location is perfect! In the heart of the historic district and the 28 Tram stop is right outside your door 💕
Negative: May not be the right fit if you have limited mobility since there are no elevators / many stairs / inaccessible by car once you are off the main road.
Summary: A peaceful retreat in Lisbon for a localized stay!

Positive: A very warm welcome from Rui Pedro who ensured I was happy with the apartment and had everything I needed. It was a lovely touch to have welcome snacks and wine and I felt instantly comfortable there. The terrace is ideal for relaxing at the beginning or end of a day of exploring Lisbon and its hilly streets and lanes. The apartment was absolutely spotless and extremely well equipped. The famous tram 28 stops very nearby making it really convenient if you prefer the tram to walking. If I visit Lisbon again I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I've already recommended it to friends and family.
Negative: I liked everything. Yes, there are about 40 steps up to the apartment which might not be ideal if you have a heavy bag, but if you've chosen to stay in the Alfama district of Lisbon that's nothing to the steep winding lanes and steps in the area! Great for exploring and all part of the experience.

Positive: I have stayed in many top 5* hotels across the world and back in Australia. I have to say that the service I received at On/Set Alfama was FAR superior to any hotel I have stayed at. The apartment was absolutely spotlessly clean, so much so that it felt like the apartment had just opened its doors as a new facility. The decor was beautiful. The apartment is centrally located in Alfama right next to the famous 28 and was super easy to get to all the sites we needed to. Lastly, we chose this apartment because of the concierge service level spoken about in the reviews and all the previous remarks were exactly true as written. Pedro was an outstanding concierge who gave us the best recommendations and checked us in personally into the accommodation which was a touch we greatly appreciated. His attention to detail was second to none. We have never been treated so well by a concierge, ever. I will be telling every person I know to stay at On/Set when they are in Lisbon as it’s a great apartment with even better personal concierge service Thank you for having us!
