You can’t get any closer to the water then On The Rocks. This three bedroom camp is located right on George’s Pond in Franklin, Maine. Newly purchased and remodeled!
**Please, take note we are only taking reservations for two guests.***
Plenty of fishing and swimming can be done right from the dock.
MDI/Acadia National Park is about 45 minutes away. Schoodic Peninsula is only about 30 minutes away and very beautiful. You also avoid the Bar Harbor traffic!

Summary: The house was cozy, super clean and the view was astounding! Kitchen had new appliances and was fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans etc. Loved starting the day with a cup of coffee enjoying the view of the pond. Highly recommend.

Summary: On The Rocks was as beautiful as you can imagine fall in Maine would be! You literally are right on the lake, view is gorgeous. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything we needed, close to hiking and seeing the coastline of Maine. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Summary: Didn't want to go back home the cottage was so cozy and the pond so beautiful. Everything we needed was on site, clean & worked well. We ate at the owners' restaurant on Desert Island andenjoyed that too.

Summary: Property was spotless, well-equipped and very comfortable. Easy to communicate with owner when we had a question. Easy trip to local areas of interest, yet felt worlds away from tourist bustle. We spent many tranquil and restorative hours just gazing at the pond and watching the loons.

Summary: On The Rocks provided the perfect quiet getaway for my fiancé and I! We didn’t mind the 30-45 minute drive out to Bar Harbor - there are so many fun stops along the way. The kayaks at the property are a plus, too! The house is very clean and had all the essentials.

Summary: The home & proximity to the Harbors & Acadia National Park is perfect. Georges Pond is absolutely picturesque; you must take advantage & take the kayaks out ~ so peaceful. I would definitely stay again.

Summary: Cabin was perfect. Quiet and comfy. No problems at all. Maine is beautiful. There is even a little spa down the street called Dewey’s. Hair, mani/pedi and tanning bed. Much needed R&R.

Summary: We enjoyed our time One the Rocks! Such a nice peaceful area. The camp was very clean and we wanted for nothing. We enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the busier areas, but the drive wasn't too far to go anywhere. My husband went out on the kayak and found a bald eagle in it's nest! We would love to go back!
