Summary: Fantastic location ! Only 15 to 20 min from Sintra and yet not in a busy town. Fabulous romantic beach restaurant at the end of town so no need to leave unless you want to train to Lisbon. had fun

Summary: We stayed for a week. It was more spacious than I expected. Neat, simple but everything you need is there. Lovely swimming pool and garden.There were some problems with humidity and the exit is in a dangerous bend. Car always needed! but the area is beautiful. Lots to see, good restaurants. in short, enjoyed it!

Summary: lovely spot!! we loved it and had a wonderful time. the property person was very helpful when we checked out. Our kids adored the pool. The location is really wonderful, close to a lot--beaches, Sintra, Cascais etc. The pool was the highlight feature as well as a restaurant nearby. The path was very overgrown with weeds, but the way by road is dangerous to walk with kids, especially at night, so the path worked well. definitely as some others have noted has a strong smell of must after you return and all the windows are closed, but with opening them it gets mitigated. We had to purchase dish soap and also laundry soap. Having to get those two things would have been made easier if we could have been told that ahead of time as we arrived after shops had closed and on a sunday. Also for check in you met the property person at the entrance to the village where it says Almogaceme in large letters on the side of a wall. It was described to us on the check in paper as where the "fountain" is, which is a a rock area on the side of the wall and the fountain does not actually have running water..so we got confused and went to the center of the village. Dont do that, just go where it says Almogaceme :) Great place. We want to return!!

Summary: The property and location were both beautiful! Better than the photos. The house had everything we needed, and in short walking distance was a mini market with a great selection. The property manager / host was not present during our stay though which made things a bit tricky. Their friend helped with the check in / out process so we were asked to give exact time of our arrival which was difficult to do because we didnโ€™t know the best way to get there due to public transport being on strike that day. We were told check out was at 11am and a bit before 11am their friend showed up to check the property / make sure we were leaving on time which made us feel a bit rushed. Besides the check in / out process the property was beautiful and private, the neighborhood was lovely and quiet, everyone we met was super friendly and we were still able to access Sintra, Cascais, & Lisbon easily by the nearby bus or by Uber which was relatively inexpensive. We would not recommend driving there because the streets are small and winding & youโ€™re on a mountain-leave it to the locals or highly experienced and we would highly recommend for a nice getaway

Summary: Our stay in the house was great, the small bungalow is situated close to Sintra and the beaches. Everything was very clean, the swimming pool is fantastic. In the house are all the utensils you need to be self supporting. There is a nice bar/restaurant in walking distance. Our host Mafalda made sure that she answered promptly to our questions. We can recommend this little treasure!

Summary: It was a really good choice. The pool is really nice and the house is super clean and you can just walk to the village. I really nice place to relax.

Summary: The exterior of the property was lovely and it was a beautiful area to sit around the pool. Unfortunately, the inside of the house was disappointing for the amount paid. There was a smell of damp in the property which was noticeable when sitting on the sofa . We did not store our clothes in the wardrobe because it made them smell damp. The property was part of a larger building and the part we stayed in had been renovated but the other part was empty and rundown. I can only assume this is where the issues of damp lie. We hope this is accepted as constructive criticism.
