The three-story ZigBone Lodge is the perfect place for a family reunion, multi-family getaway, or work retreat. At every turn, a terrace, patio, cozy room, or light-filled open space invites guests to gather and meet. The dining hall can seat up to 30, and a state-of-the-art, eat-in kitchen seats up to 10. A long covered porch on the front has a rocking chair for everyone and the covered patio in back as a wood-fired pizza oven and plenty of room for outside dining. The Lodge is built around a 1700's two story log cabin, with an historic brick addition appended to one side and a brand new, naturally built addition appended to the other. The top floor if wide open spaces with views of the pastoral Harbaugh Valley.

Summary: We were so pleased to find the property so inviting, functional, spacious, clean with great A/C for hot summer months. 17 family members (ages ranging from 5 months to 76) and we simply had a blast. Plenty of space to eat together, play games, enjoy parks around the area, walk around Gettysburg

Summary: We were celebrating my daughter's wedding shower at Zigbone. There were 16 of us. We were all amazed at the beautiful landscape and the young ones loved feeding the goats and chickens. We enjoyed rocking on the rocking chairs on the front porch. There was plenty of room to visit, sleep, eat and play games. Highly recommend this charming farm house for anyone's family or friends get together. The recommendations from the owner for vendors were perfect. We used a florist and caterer and both were super.

Summary: This trip was for our parents’ 50th anniversary. Twenty-four of us from 6 different families gathered here. It was the perfect location for us to have meals together and enjoy the outdoors. The sleeping accommodations were nice and the hosts were happy to arrange the beds as we needed. We would certainly recommend this location to anyone needing a big house.

Summary: Our whole family came from various states to meet at this location for our parents' 40th anniversary. It was everything we hoped for! The home is just as pretty as the pictures make it seem - peaceful location, lots of space for large gatherings, lovingly decorated, etc. We especially enjoyed the various outdoor seating areas, and had fun trying out the woodfire pizza oven! The owner was very kind and responsive to all of my questions. The home was very clean and well stocked - there is nothing at all to say negatively about this amazing property. We have made memories here that will last a very long time, and hope to return again someday!

Summary: A fantastic property with lots of room for group and more singular activities. The setting includes a large house with ample kitchen and dining space. Bathrooms are divided with some only with sink and toilet and the other with only bath. Useful for large groups, yet a bit deceiving on review of the property. Upgrades could consider better use of hallways to maximize creation of suites with full bathrooms. The grounds around the house were pristine, while the interior of ovens, cupboards and rooms could be improved. In this time of Covid and concern for various bedroom bugs, mattress pads with zippers, encased pillows and no decorative pillows might be preferred. A minimalistic approach. Overall, a gem of a location in a bucolic setting with gracious hosts.

Summary: This summer, our family has rented homes all over the North East. We have stayed on estates Cape Cod, the Chesapeake, Lake Anna etc- this was by far our absolute favorite rental. The property is magical, artfully decorated, and perfect for every age group. My children spent hours hiking around the farm, feeding the goats / sheep, chasing barn cats, making wildflower crowns, crafting and playing with the farm’s well stocked board game collection. The manager and owner were available when we had questions, but we definitely had to property to ourselves. There were an endless amount of activities to do near by- lots of pick your own farms, waterfall hikes and dairy farms with homemade ice cream. We also spent time in Fredricks and Gettysburg. We stayed at Zigbone for one week in July, but could have spent the whole month. Our family rarely goes back to the same place twice because there are so many interesting places in the world, but we are already plotting how to get back to Zigbone this Fall!! All in all, a wonderful experience!!
