Summary: This was the 2nd year our group of families stayed at this home, and it was more perfect than last year. We arrived Friday last afternoon and evening, and everything was as described. Saturday, a quick 10 minute drive and we were at the slopes for a ski day at Liberty Resort. The proximity is perfect, so in the evening, we drove the teems back for more skiing while the adults hung out at the house. Sunday was a beautiful and perfect snow day. We had planned on a chill games day at the house, and there was plenty of room for people to be social or have some quiet time away from the rest of us, as needed. The gas fireplaces were easy to operate, and provided the perfect ambiance and coziness. Marianne had even contracted a plow to come through the driveway in the evening, after most of the snow had stopped.Monday morning was checkout. It took us a little longer to get on the road because of clearing the cars, but we communicated with Marianne and she was gracious and accommodating. All in all, we recommend this spacious and beautiful home, and hope to stay here again for our trip next winter!

Summary: Living, dining, and kitchen spaces were large and very well appointed. We had an extended family stay. 5 bedrooms with multiple sleeping options was ideal. We cooked a lot and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. Floors were not level, but original and charming. Beds were too soft for some of us.

Summary: I'm new to VRBO, and when I got an email saying "keys", I thought we were all set. We arrived at an admittedly pretty house and setting after hrs of driving (and 3 hours after check in time) to find I actually just have a VRBO confirmation email, and zero info from the host. I contacted VRBO and they gave me her #. When I called, she said she'd double booked, admitted she'd sent me no info, and then told me the house needed to be cleaned. She called back a few minutes later to tell me cleaners were en route and she was "glad she caught it in time." Yeah... Sloppy cleaning job, even for a rush job. There was hair in the tub, all mats/rugs were dirty, every windowsill and floorboard was dusty, and there were dried up dead bugs all over the place. The owner showed over 2 hrs after I called to "see if the cleaners needed help", though I'm told she's not far away. The mattresses and pillows are as old as I am (and I have grey hair) and the bedding not much younger. The kitchen is both amazing spatially and organized very oddly with no labeling, making it hard to find anything we needed. Oh, and then there was the BAT that got into my bedroom somehow without a single door or window open- I assume from the 3rd floor/attic. I had to trap and release a bat on my weekend getaway. The weather, the town, and the company saved this trip. This is actually a great house that doesn't feel like anything except the floors are being cared for.

Summary: Everything was great but the TV definitely needs to be upgraded. WAY too small for that size of a room.
