Positive: The staff were very kind and helpful, and they really tried their best to make my stay comfortable. The location is nice and convenient, and the property is clean
Negative: During winter, the central AC was turned off, so the room felt a bit warm for me, around 28°C. I usually prefer sleeping in cooler temperatures. Opening the window was not ideal for me due to the lack of an insect net. The staff provided a fan, which I appreciated, though I still found the room a little warm. Also, the Wi-Fi connection was quite slow, and WhatsApp was not usable on the hotel Wi-Fi.

Positive: Good service. Ada was very helpful and went above and beyond to provide a comfortable stay. The other staff were also prompt and dedicated to their task and was pleasantly surprised how they will go the extra mile for their guests.
Negative: Washing machine and dryer needed servicing frequently when doing rounds of laundry. However, staff will solve the issues when there is any.

Positive: The hotel was exceptionally clean and beautifully designed. The staff, particularly Candy and the man who helped us with our parcels (whose name I regret to say I don’t know), were incredibly friendly and made our stay truly special. The convenience of being so close to everything, just a short walk from the most beautiful places, was also a huge bonus.
Negative: Breakfast could be a bit more varied :)
Summary: I highly recommend this hotel and it’ll definitely be our first choice again in the future.

Positive: Beautiful heritage building equipped with modern features. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Bathroom was very clean and very well equipped too. Staff was very helpful, in Chinese and in English! Location is very good near the People’s Park.

Positive: Beautiful hotel, recently renovated, extremely lovely staff. Candy and Ben were super helpful, and went completely above and beyond - making local bookings, helping with any questions or needs we had, including helping us identify snacks we were given at a restaurant, and ordering for us on meituan (we didn't have a Chinese number), accepting lots of parcels on our behalf, and generally just making us feel super welcome. We loved Shanghai, and will definitely be staying here again on our next trip!
