Summary: This property hovers practically in the clouds above Pinhão at a dramatic bend in the Douro River. The pictures on the web site cannot do it justice. It is so magnificent. There is little close by in terms of restaurants but the wonderful people at the residence will prepare a charcuterie plate and/ or salad that you can take as you watch the sunset. They also have good Douro wine available on site at a reasonable cost. For us this was unbeatable.

Summary: It was disappointing that the property had not been checked out before our arrival - there were light bulbs which did not work - and that there were no instructions at all, not least on how to flush the toilet. The apartment was fine - simple and basic, but certainly adequate, with a wonderful view from the balcony.
