Positive: Magnificent apartment with very responsive and accommodating host. Everything we needed was there, fully equipped kitchen with an oven, which is unusual. Great layout, master bedroom with huge walk in wardrobe and bathroom. The beds were very, very comfortable, the gym really well equipped and the 2 swimming pools had excellent views. Probably the best thing about the apartment is the view, overlooking both Merdeka Stadium (national football ground and athletic track) as well as the business district KL from the 29th floor, full view of the new Merdeka building which is currently the second highest in the world. We thought the view was good during the day, but at night when there is a football match and with the tall buildings in the city trying to outdo each other with their colourful light shows it is truly magnificent. We spent a couple of nice nights on the balcony watching the football. Several small mini-marts are less than a 5 minute walk away, large supermarkets at Berjaya Times Square (excellent Middle Eastern restaurants behind the mall) and Lalaport Mall (lots of very trendy eateries and bars) are about a 15 minute walk, mostly shaded by the monorail or 1 stop on the monorail if you're feeling lazy. Petaling Street Market, the centre of Chinatown, is about a 10 minute walk, ignore Google Maps which insists it's a 25 minute walk, there is a footbridge to the start of the street just past the monorail station which Google doesn't know about. There are also lots of local canteen-type eateries, Chinese, Indian and Malay which you can get to between 5 and 10 minute walk. The huge Pudu Street wet market took us about 20 minutes to walk to, but it was worth every step we took. We will be back here next time we're in KL and highly recommend it as a really good apartment.
Negative: No shade around the pools, which meant we only went there after 5pm
