Positive: House was well equipped with everything we needed to cook meals like basic spices and containers store left over food. House had minor things we had forgotten like shampoo, some toilet paper and paper towels and 2 dishwashing tabs. House had many options of tv choices for the kids. Pool was right outside of our window in the kitchen so I could still watch the kids while cooking meals. There was a fig tree right outside of the room and I picked the figs and ate them every day. I’d never had one fresh before this trip . They were amazing! The house also had beach chairs that we used and nice beach towels as well as separate towels to shower with. We left boogie boards and more shampoo and conditioner for the next guests to use.
Negative: Residents who permanently lived in building were NOT fond of travel guests using amenities or being in the apartments. We were on vacation during the Fourth of July and my 7 and 12 year old kids were outside watching fireworks outside of our door and they got accused of setting the fireworks off. Residents complained that it was us because we were vacationing and it was NOT our family at all. (What parent would give their 7 and 12 year olds huge explosives 🤦🏻‍♀️) I spent half of a day being angry on vacation over being falsely accused. I felt as though these people had retired and found permanent homes in a quite town and didn’t like travelers coming temporarily for vacation. They were rude and annoyed with us being there.
