River Venture is a stunning new vacation rental on the peaceful but entertaining Otter Tail River with lake views and access. This expansive property is within walking distance of bars (Zorbas and Beach Bums), restaurants, sandy public beaches and the quaint "Corner Store". Bring your pontoon, fishing boats and Fish House and Snowmobiles in the winter! River Venture is closely located to the Otter Tail public boat launch. With a private swimming beach on the river you can kayak out your front door down the river to two connecting lakes or take a quick portage to premier Otter Tail Lake. Fish off your own private dock or walk across the bridge to the fishing pier. In the winter months it is a perfect location for ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. You can also rent dock/lift space on Otter Tail Lake just across the road for a minimum fee. Ask the host for details.
Activity packed days at River Venture lead to relaxing afternoons on the covered wrap around porch. Your group will enjoy gathering around a cold beverage and planning the evening. For those guests that enjoy a little night life, Beach Bums and Zorbaz are open late and serve American and Mexican cuisine and offer live music regularly. Guests who wish to spend a quieter evening will be delighted with the outdoor grill, ample seating around a cozy fire and the ambiance of the peaceful Otter Tail River.
River Venture is perfect for all types of groups. Cozy gathering spaces are abundant throughout this sprawling property. The main level of the home features a master bedroom with ensuite luxury full bath, a laundry room, 3/4 bathroom, modern gourmet kitchen with a large granite island, dining area and open living area with a flatscreen smart TV. The second level includes two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a workout area, a second family room with a flat-screen TV and game tables. Extra beds will accommodate an additional four people. An attached, heated and air-conditioned bunk house/party room features a full kitchen, lots of ample tables and seating, and a flat screen TV. This comfortable extension of the living space includes two bunk beds. This is a great area for large family meals or game area, seats 40 plus easily.
The master bedroom on the main level has a walkout to the porch with a view of the river. A TV and ensuite with a soaking tub & walk in shower make this a luxurious retreat. The second and third bedrooms upstairs feature full and queen size beds respectively. Two additional queen size beds are situated in the main living area on the upper level. The entertainment/bunk house living area is heated/cooled on the main level and has bunk beds and sleeps five. Your group of up to 15 people will be easily accommodated! If you have some "extras" there are also 3 comfy couches and plenty of room for a blow up bed.
October 1st through May 1st the on-site property manager/owner may be staying in their private living quarters that are locked off from the main house with a private exterior entrance.
Covid 19 Update:
We are currently planning on being able to welcome all of our guests with reservations subject to the Governor of Minnesota direction. That being said we will be implementing a few changes below to help keep all of our guests and staff safe and healthy!
Check in and check out times will be modified to allow additional time for cleaning and sanitizing the property. Check in 4:00 - Check out 9:00 am
You will receive a text the day of your arrival with the entry information for a remote Check in.
We will be following a new expanded cleaning protocol to sanitize all hard surfaces possible, high touch areas and soft surfaces (furniture, draperies, rugs).
We will provide cleaning products for you to sanitize to your comfort level during your stay.
We ask that each guest bring their own beach towels. If you prefer to bring all of your own linens let me know in advance of your stay.
We will provide an initial supply of toilet paper and paper towels. You will need to bring additional amounts of these products depending on your specific needs.
I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause but we are doing our best to be cautious and conscientious in our cleaning and sanitizing efforts. We want you all to be able to enjoy great family time in a safe and welcoming environment. I think we all need this more than ever this summer:).
