Beautifully designed with an open floor plan, this home is anchored by its great room with stone fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with island, two dining areas and a lakefront screened porch which can be accessed from both the great room and the primary suite. The main level also boasts an expansive primary suite (K) with luxury bath and walk-in closet, 2 additional guest rooms (one K, one Q), 1 ½ additional baths, laundry room, pantry, and 2-car attached garage. On the lower level are a guest room (Q) and full bathroom, a bunk room for the kids (3 T/T bunk beds, 1 F sofa sleeper), and a lively recreation area with ping pong, foosball, card game table, 55-inch television, movies, puzzles, games, and wet bar with microwave, mini fridge, and ice maker for your favorite beverages.
There are so many areas to retreat and recharge – 1.5 acres of nature to explore, a main level lakeside deck with hammock and gas grill, a lower level patio, a large fire pit, a gentle path to the water’s edge where you’ll find a covered dock with boat lift, 2 jet ski lifts, sundeck, and lakeside swing and picnic table. There are stairs into the water for easy entry (great for kids) or just jump off the end of the dock (water depth ~ 6 feet). We provide 2 kayaks, a stand-up paddle board, and various floats for your enjoyment in exploring the lake.
We also have STARLINK internet to keep you connected, should you wish. We are experiencing internet speeds of 200+ Mbps download and 20+ upload locally. Satellite coverage is very good, and will continue to improve as more satellites are launched (excellent for streaming movies, music, YouTube videos, surfing the net, etc.)
The home is conveniently located just 13 miles from Hwy 85, with both Raleigh-Durham airport and Richmond airport within a 90 minute drive.
Lake Gaston boasts 350 miles of pristine waters, with fishing, swimming and water sports, or just cruising the lake with your family. As one of the lakes with the highest water quality, there is nothing comparable to Lake Gaston. We like to think of it as the mid-Atlantic’s best kept secret.
This is a smoke-free home. NO SMOKING is allowed inside the home. If you do smoke (outdoors), please be considerate of others and empty all ash trays and dispose of refuse timely and responsibly.
NO PETS ALLOWED. If you choose to bring your pets, please kindly arrange kenneling via the Rover app locally or at the Lake Gaston Pet Boarding facility in Bracey, VA. (434-636-PETS, also on FaceBook). Advance reservations are required. Then you can visit your pets during your stay. Reach out to them for additional information and vaccine requirements.

Summary: Had a great time with friends and family. Dora was fabulous and always within communication. Nice quiet part of the lake. Wish there was better swimming in the channel but the lake is right there for enjoyment. Lord of activities and extra touches in the house!

Summary: Very nice house. Plenty of space. Needs a couple smaller sauce pans in the kitchen otherwise well stocked. Dock was great. We did use the kayaks and paddle board which were a lot of fun. There were no instructions on recycling so we didn't separate our trash. Wish there were recycling containers because we found out when we dropped of trash at end of our stay that the facility did take recycling items. All in all we had a great time on our stay at Lake Gaston!

Summary: Great property and excellent host. Provided even more amenities than listed. Only reason for reading the listing 4 stars is that there is no trash service. You have to bring your trash to the dump. Binder not accurate in location, but we found one within 4 miles of the house.

Summary: 7/31-8/7. We had an absolutely wonderful time in your beautiful place! This was by far the cleanest house we have ever stayed in at the lake! The house and grounds had everything you needed for a family vacation! We had 16 family members who enjoyed every single minute there! The dock, as usual, was the hang out all day after breakfast. We had the whole cove to ourselves every day! Thanks again and we will be back!

Summary: The house was very clean and well equipped with kitchen and entertainment activities. The cove was quiet with easy access to the lake. the dock was great, easy to dock our boat and Jet Ski. and equipped with kayaks, floats, etc..

Summary: Great adventures and fun at the lake. Limited signal on phones and WiFi which helped us relax a bit, but it would have been nice to have connectivity when needed. Location is nice and quiet. Home was stocked with just about anything you’d want/need for fun. Overall we made great memories and the family is already talking about our next trip to the lake.
