Summary: My husband and I came to the area to attend a local musical weekend at Le Vin winery. Could not have been at a more convenient place to stay. It was a very very hot weekend and a little hard to keep the house cool but Annette who is the on-site property manager can’t be beat for responsiveness and support throughout our stay. She came by with an extra AC unit, installed it and made certain that we had everything we needed. That extra AC unit made the difference. Because we had so many fans and AC units going we did blow a circuit from the hair dryer and Annette was there within moments to make certain that we got our power back on and showed us how to do it in the future. If you’re going to stay in a cabin in the woods in a rural area, you gotta be ready if things are gonna happen, and Annette was a gem. Note that the house has basic supplies. Pots and pans, cutlery, fridge, and dishwasher. And a grill on the deck. We brought our own plastic bags and tin foil and there wasn’t any in the house. It would be good if some of the window coverings were replaced as it can get hot from the west facing windows. It is a beautiful spot with a pond and the friendliest ducks came right to the house for food that is provided. We picked blackberries for breakfast and visited with the horse and goats. Quails and fox, and a beautiful sunsets and clear skies for stargazing. Very quiet too. We were very happy with our stay and hope to be back. Thanks

Summary: The cottage was very comfortable. Great view. The driving access is a bit challenging as the road is loose gravel and getting up it can be a bit dicey.

Summary: I initially was hesitant to review, as when we first came home after our weekend here I was quite disappointed. Upon our arrival the front door was cracked open. This is not a big deal because it is a rural and quiet area - not like being in the city or something. However it turned out that the door was broken/ having a hard time opening and closing. A handyman was brought out the morning after our arrival. He was not able to fix it at that time, and while the door would now easily open and close - it no longer locked. So we did not have a locking door on the cottage for our entire stay - and we were just supposed to be ok with that and not provided an alternative? The cottage itself is cute and cozy. During our stay though the weather was very warm and the portable AC unit did not keep the home cool. It was quite uncomfortably warm. We did enjoy the view of the pond and even though there are other cottages on the property, we did not hear or really see the other guests during our stay. Everyone is spaced out well enough that it feels very private. The cottage is older and rustic and could use a good thorough cleaning, however it does look quite like the pictures and the furniture was all nice and in good repair. The kitchen could use a little bit more utensils / dishes for folks that are planning to stay in and cook. The road to get there is quite curvy, so if anyone in your party has an issue with carsickness you may want to give them some Dramamine in advance. There are also ticks in one of the fields near the house. There is a note regarding this in the binder inside the house, however when we first arrived we took our dog over there not knowing. So I just wanted to mention it here in case anyone reads for advanced notice. Overall, reflecting back - we did enjoy our stay minus the door lock and the extreme heat and wouldn’t have been quite as disappointed otherwise. The owners and property manager were nice enough and I know they are working to make this property even more enjoyable for future guests.

Summary: Nice little cottage with a good view of the surrounding hills and pond. Very quiet and saw very few other people. Cloverdale is only 15-20 minutes away if you need a store or want to go out to eat. Very pleasant stay and we plan to come again.

Summary: We had a short 3-night stay with our adult daughter and golden retriever. The cottage was in an idyllic location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was wonderful to wake-up to the sounds of woodpeckers and the resident ducks. A much needed breath of fresh air. The property manager was attentive in checking all was well - though we had no issues.

Summary: The house was cute , the scenery was beautiful , the bed was very comfortable and the host was gracious. my only recommendations would be that they put a floormat in the shower because it was so slippery I was afraid I was going to fall and there’s nothing in there to hang onto , and I would’ve liked a clean sponge and maybe some cleanser so I could’ve scrubbed the sink, a roll of paper towels would’ve been nice. We left early and followed the directions in the info binder and after we left the email cleaning instructions came. We covered most of it but did not know we had to take garbage to front of property till after we left. Maybe Instructions the night before, but other than that I would definitely go back.
