Summary: Bear mountain is beautiful. The cabin would be great for a large group where everyone gets a room. Each individual room is small and you are far from the front desk.

Summary: The lodge has a certain throwback charm but there are serious maintenance issues - peeling paint, pot-holed roads, overflowing trash cans (we saw vultures at the trash cans). Otherwise it’s a lovely spot with a walk around Lake Hessian highly recommended.

Summary: It was great experience. Felt like I was out of NY (the city that is), which was great. Very peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful views. The Outlook Lodge is a little more than a mile walk to the main Inn which is the Bear Mountain Inn. Sometimes it’s difficult going to and fro if you don’t have a car. I suggest that you guys should have a bike or surrey rental but nonetheless the stay was great.

Summary: Very quiet and serene. I loved the lobby in the Lodge in which you can sit on the deck and enjoy a coffee or meal. You can also build a fire in the fireplace with your family.
