The Oystercatcher is your cozy nest on Manasota Key! Part of the Shorebirds Beach Cottages property, this two bedroom/one bath cottage features a large private wrap-around porch, open shelving and shiplap creating a cozy place for your beach getaway. It offers a king bed, queen bed, with luxurious linens and comfy mattresses, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. The large kitchen has all you need to create delicious meals from local fresh fish and farmer's markets. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail on your private screened porch or hang out in our lush tropical backyard garden. In the evening, take a quick stroll to awe at the most dramatic sunsets, found only on this side of the gulf!
This newly renovated cottage is just a 3 minute walk to the Gulf waters and shell strewn beach, conveniently paved all the way to the sand. To get you there with ease, we provide a beach cart, chairs, beach towels, and an umbrella for your day at the beach. Other beach items available like boogie boards, noodles, sand toys, and coolers.
Explore the key on one of our (adult-sized) beach bicycles or venture out on a Paddleboard or Kayak, all available to our Shorebirds registered guests. We even have wheels to easily get the kayak to the launch, just a 5 minute walk away.
Relax in our tropical backyard oasis by one of our wood or gas burning fire pits, great for gathering and meeting your neighbors. We have BBQ grills, laundry, and outdoor showers.
This cottage offers other conveniences such as: a contactless, private entry. Microwave, Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, ice maker. Free Wi-Fi. A cable connected 50” Smart TV is in the living room and 36” TV’s in each bedroom to watch live programming or to view shows using your favorite streaming apps.

Summary: This property truly exceeded all expectations! The house was spotless and beautifully decorated, with all the conveniences you could need. Thoughtful touches, like snacks and a bottle of wine, made us feel incredibly welcome. We loved the outdoor space and screened-in patio, perfect for relaxing. Great location —within easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants, yet peaceful and quiet. The hosts were exceptional, with excellent communication and an impressive renovation after the 2024 hurricane damage. They didn’t miss a single detail. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Summary: We loved this beach house and can't wait to return. We flew to Florida with minimal items to avoid extra luggage costs and they had thought of everything you would need for a great time enjoying the ocean - coolers, sand toys, beach cart, umbrellas, etc. My favorite were the bikes and kayaks though!

Summary: Our family of 3 stayed at the Shorebird property and it is as advertised. Cozy and clean with all the amenities. Close to beaches and with the use of kayaks and paddleboards as part of the stay I would highly recommend. Hosts were great and answered any questions very quickly. We would definitely stay again!

Summary: Perfect spot for our girls trip. Only needed snacks, sunscreen, and ourselves. The house is a short walking distance to the beaches and restaurants. All beach necessities are thought of and the outside showers, grills, and patio are perfect for a relaxing night.

Summary: Oyster Catcher at Shorebird is a must stay! From The second we arrived, everything was 5 star! So many amenities and well thought out information. Bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, games… never needed anything in addition to what was provided. We appreciated the snacks, bottle of wine, stocked supplies - even down to sunscreen. Our girls trip to Manasota Key was just what we needed. We loved the enclosed porch and the privacy that the cottages offered. We will for sure be back! Our first (and not last) stay was amazing! Thank you for your attention to detail to make guests feel so special and welcomed!
