Summary: two houses together was a good arrangement for our group that comprised more than one family. the accommodation in well appointed though my one real criticism would be the lack of air con but perhaps it was just such a hot weather and I shouldn't really complain about that. Anyway the great weather meant that the pool got well used and its a good size and with a cover which was reassuring for the safety of the children. There is good outdoor space which is ideal for sunbathing and long leisurely meals al fresco. the village in which the accommodation is located is very nice and very quiet but there are many facilities nearby and a good road system to reach such interesting places as Carcassonne and Narbone. a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

Summary: We spent 2 weeks here in the summer, very comfortable properties with everything you need for a peaceful break. Narbonne is close enough to pop in to and there are good supermarkets with everything you could want. It is worth checking local websites - we managed to see a few bands, wonderful entertainment and street food from great Bodegas in Narbonne and even saw a band in sleepy Raissac. A couple of trips to beaches at Gruissan and La Franqui were good fun and seeing the boats on the canal at Homps, Ventenac, and Bezier was very special. Carcassone is worth a day trip. After these busy days it was great to come back to jump in the pool and have a lazy evening. The houses have everything you need, we used the bikes a few days and had loads of inflatables in the pool. A lovely couple of properties that worked well for our two families in a lovely part of France.

Summary: We were a party of 11 adults ranging in age from 24 to 84! Ample space and facilities for all with great outdoor space for dining and relaxing. Very well equipped houses that included use of cycles and beach paraphernalia that came in very handy. If you want a peaceful, relaxed location this is for you. Set in the middle of beautiful countryside amid vineyards but within easy reach of beaches and interesting towns. We flew into Beziers airport which was only 45 mins drive and easily accessible.

Summary: We stayed at this charming village property for a short break last month with a group of friends. The houses are perfect for groups as you have plenty of space if you want privacy yet still have opportunity to come together. We spent long afternoons/evenings in the garden relaxing, chatting and enjoying the peaceful location. The houses are comfortable, homely and with everything you need available. The village is a perfect base from which to explore the region. We visited Carcassonne which is beautiful by daylight but worth a nighttime visit too as it has a very different aura after dark. Narbonne, full of history and its impressive covered market and the beautiful village Minerve. There are plenty of places to eat out and sample authentic French dishes such as cassoulet and mussels. To sum up you have everything you need to relax and unwind whilst enjoying a taste of French life. We would definitely recommend these properties.

Summary: We have just returned from a fabulous short trip with friends, staying at this lovely little house in Raissac. Four adult couples comfortably shared this house, and the one next door, for five nights and each couple had a double room and bathroom to themselves. We loved the stylish interior, finished with typical French simplicity, white walls, blue shutters, antique furniture in the bedrooms combined with modern sofas and chairs downstairs. The beds were comfortable, clean and warm, and the kitchen was well equipped with every mod con you could need. The shared outside space was perfect for al fresco breakfast and lunch, and even in April it was (occasionally) hot enough to soak up the sun on the comfortable sun loungers. Although the village is quiet if you have a car then it's easy to reach local towns for shops, supermarkets, wine supplies, some fab restaurants and pharmacies. We ventured on days out to the beach at Leucate Plage, with some flamingo spotting along the way, Narbonne indoor food market and cathedral, Carcassone by day for shopping and at night for a meal, Minerve with its dramatic drive and location, plus we also managed to fit in a fantastic half day cookery course at La Domaine Veronique in nearby Capestang. There's so much to see and do from this location you'll never get bored and it makes for the perfect combination of sightseeing and sunbathing. For everyday essentials like croissants, milk, butter and bread the village co-operative shop is open each morning and will take orders (worth knowing as the croissants sell out early!). The house(s) suited our trip perfectly, and we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this off-the-beaten-track location as the perfect spot for a long weekend, family holiday or stopping point if you're driving to Spain. It's not luxury, but it is lovely!

Summary: We enjoyed a relaxing holiday with friends at this fabulous, authentic house in beautiful Raissac d'Aude. We landed in nearby Beziers Airport and forty minutes later were sitting on the terrace of the house enjoying a glass of wine. The house was beautifully furnished and very well equipped (even a potato masher!) The terrace was private with beautiful planters and fig trees and the pool was a real bonus! We visited Narbonne and Carcassonne and enjoyed a delicious meal on the Canal du Midi. We loved the almost deserted beach at Leucate and the delicious mussels and ice creams in the hotel opposite the beach. We loved the daily stroll around the village to the tiny local shop, where we purchased our daily bread and croissants and Canet, only a few miles away had a supermarket where we bought our other provisions. An excellent holiday home - everything we needed. We are looking forward to a return visit soon.

Summary: Last summer we, and another family spent a week in both of these villas. This is the perfect set up for two families who want to holiday together. So you share the same outside space and pool, but each family can have separate houses and facilities. The houses are spacious and well equipped. I am not a very good sleeper, but the beds were really comfortable and ceiling fans in each room mean you can get a good nights sleep even if it's hot. The village is lovely. The kids can wander safely up to the small local shop and fetch croissants and other supplies in the morning. And it's only 5 mins in the car to the supermarket in the next village. Up by the Canal Du Midi there's great places to eat out and go for little walks. All very peaceful and relaxed. There's a super (English) lady, Katherine, who lives in the village who is friends with the owners and can answer and help out with anything you need. I fully recommend going, we loved it and shall be going back.

Summary: The house was just as described, very well equipped, clean and nicely refurbished in a very quiet little village, although the evening frog chorus was a delightful surprise! We were even serenaded by a neighbour rehearsing the accordion in his garden one afternoon - made it feel like we were in a French film! The whole house had a very authentic French feel, our bedroom furniture was vintage French and our window had a view over the fields. Easy to find and very close to Narbonne. We made good use of the pool, and rode the bikes to the next village to visit the shop there. Raissac's shop IS tricky to spot, sells out of croissants very early and doesn't stay open very long. The large supermarket is not far away on the outskirts of Narbonne. There is plenty to do and see, but you do need a car. The canal du midi and le Sommail are beautiful and just minutes away. I would recommend the book shop there, which is an Aladdin's cave. We stayed here with 2 teenagers, 16 and 19, who were very happy, especially delighted to find the TV had Sky. Simon and Ali leave comprehensive notes to help you find places of interest and good places to eat. We had day trips to Carcassone and Montpelier and recommend them both. The beach was deserted when we went as it was a bit windy, but the family prefer a pool so weren't bothered. I would definitely recommend this property, and have done, to friends and relatives and hope to return one day.
