Summary: The house and property exceeded our expectations and our family enjoyed our stay. The bugs were pretty bad near the river but the large catfish catches made it worth it.

Summary: Stayed for Thanksgiving holiday with adult kids who live in VA. Perfect place for families of all ages. House was cozy, clean, well appointed and location on river was fantastic and short drive to Luray. Would definitely stay againd.

Summary: We Love this home. Everything about this property is peaceful snd inviting. This was our 3rd vacation at Papa Bears and we cannot wait to return! Super clean and comfortable. Communication with the owner was immediate. The daily visits from the deer and turkeys were a plus. A1 rating . We dream about owning a cabin exactly like Papa Bears someday soon.

Summary: We stayed at this cabin for a few days and had a wonderful time. We loved the large yard and fire pit, and the river is very peaceful and serene. There is a semi-busy road behind the property, but it was not a problem for us. Access to the river is a little difficult as the bank is very high, but it didn't detract from our enjoyment.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay for a weekend getaway. View of the river was really nice and property was private aside from the road nearby. We enjoyed the fire pit with provided firewood. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. Would stay again.
