Summary: We rented Vera's house for a week the end of July for a multi-family vacation we do each year. It is a beautiful house on a quiet lake. There is flat lawn space directly off the basement patio (great for cornhole) and quite a large, but sloping, lawn before the lake. We generally all stayed in the basement area since there was a big sectional with TV and easy access kitchen. It never felt too tight even with 10 adults in and out. The only constructive critique I would give is that there are quite a few restrictions on use of some of the spaces. It turned out to not be an issue for our family, but it may be for some and would be helpful to have those listed in the VRBO description or at least given before the reservation is accepted. Overall, a wonderful property and Vera was very nice and responsive to any questions!

Summary: Vera's large and lovely lake house was even better than the listing indicates. Our family of all ages had ample space and many amenities to keep everyone entertained. The lake (extensive pier/shallow end for small children) was the main attraction during the day and the TWO game rooms offered nightime fun with pool, air hockey, and ping pong. We appreciated the use of two kayaks, multiple inflatables and the very popular floating diving pad. With six bedrooms, everyone had their own private space. There is seating for 15 between kitchen and adjoining dining room, so dinners were a family gathering. The two kitchens were a perk for sure. This is a luxury home, beautifully furnished in an idyllic setting. White Pigeon is not a resort town environment. There are no quaint little shops or downtown hub and we didn't care. If you want a spacious private family retreat where you just kick back and enjoy what Long Lake has to offer, this is the place for you. For a side trip (25 min.), try the Shipshewana Flea Market and Dutch Creek Farm (25 min.) which were big hits, too. Vera is a generous and thoughtful host. She has the house well stocked with towels, bathroom supplies and kitchen needs. The entire family wants a re-do in 2020.
